This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Peter Naef, 73 years old, born on May 12, 1947, and passed away on May 10, 2021. We will remember him forever.
Peter {born Terry Morgan} was one of very few people who never gave up on defending what he believed was right, while he served in Vietnam his devotion to his country first started to show itself, but no matter what went on, deep down inside his family was always up most important to him above everything else, he did his absolute best to support his family despite outside interferences and hardships, even towards when the end was drawing nearer he continued to do what was possible to make the world a better place and his enthusiasm remained obvious till he was called home to heaven
It was in early 2010 I was on my way to get ready to start my day when I found a live bat asleep on the hallway floor of my house and my dad was obsessed with leaving bath towels on the carpet to avoid dust accumulating and the bat was sleeping directly in the middle of one of the towels so I very slowly and carefully wrapped the bat in the towel and took it into one of the rooms I knew my dad would go into and I put a note on the door to warn him and left to go hang out with friends a few hours later I decided to go to my grandmothers to avoid punishment and I later found out that my dad didn't believe the warning and came face to face with the bat which literally scared the jelly beans out of him
Between helping me meet people I've admired all my life to getting me my very own special Olympics trophy my good memories of my father are very much alive in my heart even though I never really opened up about any of them till now
My dad got me a trophy when I was 9 years old as I was a participant in the 1993 special Olympics because even though I didn't win any of the events he wanted me to know I was a winner to him
