Respecting Peter's wishes, his ashes were scattered at the sundial at Genrock Scout Centre, Newcastle on 23 November 2014 following a memorial service with family and friends. This plaque was placed on the memorial wall at Glenrock Scout Centre, in recognition of Peter and Kotha's commitment to the Scout Movement in Newcastle.  

'Life in Pictures' is a tribute to Peter and contains images from his early years through to his last days in hospital. The backing music is a collection of some of his favourite songs. 'Life in Pictures' was included as part of Peter's memorial service.

Last year (2013) Kotha & Peter came down to Melbourne, for what appeared to be at the time, one last visit. They were transported around Melbourne by Preeti, Vimala and Subra, and Preeti took these very special photos which I cherish. 
     Everyone came to my humble little abode and we spent some time chatting, then went out to an Asian restaurant in Elsternwick, which ensured that Peter would not have to walk all that far.
     It was a grand night with good food, though I recall Kotha informing the attendant that the Laksa had too much salt in it. Ha ha. She was just saying.
     Peter was in good form, his usual cheery, cheeky self and it was a night to remember with lots of hugs.
     I miss them greatly. 

2014 - Having moved to Brisbane from Newcastle, Dad's new home (Stretton Gardens Assisted Living) held their annual ball with a Roaring 20's theme.  Dad was quick to give me instructions on the required items I should purchase for his Gangster attire.  On the night, Dad was in his element and enjoyed having a dance, but when the manager announced he was being crowned 'King of the Ball', the look on his face was priceless.

1981 - On my wedding day, my father put his non-drinking brother John in charge of serving alcohol at our wedding reception.  John continued to make Dad drinks as he entertained everyone and when it came to speech time, he was just a little tipsy and proudly announced that he wanted to congratulate Steven (my husband) on marrying Jake (which was Steven's nickname).  This photo says it all.   

I980 - I recall when my now husband Steven & I were starting to get serious, my father took Steven aside & gave him some words of advice......."I can arrange to put a ladder outside Leila's bedroom window & Knock and Kirby (a hardware store) sell a wide selection of curtain rings".  Talk about giving away his daughter!
