by Vicki Leigh
Peter Muller died comfortably at home with his wife Vicki by his side and surrounded by love on Saturday, January 1, 2022 after a long battle with Lewybody Dementia. He was born December 7, 1955 to Ernest Philip Muller and Anja Stueber in Yonkers, New York.
Peter's family grew up on Hart Avenue along with his grandparents Ernest & Madeline Muller and Eric & Magdalina Stueber. His mother Anja was born in northern Germany and his father Ernie came from a long line of Mullers who had established in the Bronx. He was baptized at St Marks Lutheran Church, attended elementary and junior high school at St. Marks Lutheran School and served as an altar boy as well. Peter's sense of adventure and unbounding energy manifested at an early age. He joined the boy scout troops alongside his oldest and dearest friend Jamie, a retired NY Fireman. He talked fondly of a canoe trip up in the Adironkaks where many potato bombs were lobbed.
Peter's family moved to Highland Mills, New York and he graduated from Monroe-Woodbury Highschool in 1972. Shortly after, he enlisted in the US Navy and after bootcamp, served on the USS Henry B Wilson and fought in the final battles of Vietnam. Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, Ship Swimmer, Metals, other places of serving etc
