My father was a lovely ,kind,funny person,  everybody loved my dad especially his gandchildren who he adored.


My father started out as a miner but ended up a steel erector , he told lots of  stories about his working life though i suspect not all true as he was a great joker,however he lost some colleagues to accidents as it was a dangerous job and he did not escape injury himself.
He always provided for us and we always went on holiday, as children we went to Jersey for 2 weeks when most children went for day trips to Bridlington.


My father suffered a massive heart attack at 42 yrs of age and went on to have several more plus strokes but he never complained he just got on with it he was as tough as old boots, they don,t make men like my father anymore he was unique.
