Peter was the most brilliant and too the kindest man I’ve ever met. He could see further than anyone, connecting disparate disciplines in ways that got to the truth of learning. He was a man that knew how to live, how to make friends everywhere, and bring those friends together. His smile is indelibly engraved on my heart and his generosity something for which I’ll always be indebted. There was only one Peter. Charlotte, I share in your grief, as do we all.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Peter's passing. He was a talented and kind man who helped us establish a wonderful program in Prague for the College of Design and NC State University. Our faculty and students are indebted to him for creating a welcoming home abroad for our students. Peter helped them all the world and gain a greater appreciation of the world of design. The School of Architecture and I wish to express our gratitude and love.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Peter passing. I had the opportunity to work for him for nearly a year and I so enjoyed working in such a friendly environment that Peter created. Peter also had a massive impact on my life. His enthusiastic view of the world was contagious and he knew how to live life to the fullest. He was an exceptional man and I will remember him forever.

Although we had, regrettably, only a few occasions to meet, Peter has deeply impressed me by his charisma, visionary, enthusiasm, and friendliness. I feel very sad about Peter passing away.

Peter was smart, sparkling mind, human and he loved to share fun but also critique. He created a like-minded circle around him. I / we will miss him and remember him.

Peter was an exceptional leader, mentor, and colleague whose creative mind and progressive ideas inspired others to push their own boundaries. Thanks to Peter, the NC State European Center in Prague is no longer a small educational institute, but an interdisciplinary school of thought and creativity where students and teachers will continue to enjoy an intellectually and socially stimulating environment.

Peter Kjaer was a good friend and a great teacher who cared about students and made a lasting impact on all of us. He elevated the Prague Institute to the place where it could become a university center. He found the Institute a new home and created a resources that will continue to have a profound impact on students for many years.
