Tribute to my Father-in-law
Daddy, I can't believe I'm writing this. I thought it's one of those ailments you always recovered from. However, God knows why you chose this passage.
I remember how you always call me to say “Hi”. You are the best father-in-law anyone can have.
You always give me a parting gift anytime I come to visit. You always call and show concern on any given occasion. I can go on and on, but we give God the glory, for He alone knows the best. We know someday, we shall all meet at the feast prepared where we shall dine at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ. Daddy, keep resting in Abraham's bosom.

Tribute to my Father-in-law
I was short of words and breathe the moment I heard of your unexpected departure from this world. I take consolation in the truth of scripture that reveals that the death of the righteous pleases the Lord (Psalm 116:15)
I believe you have gone to rest with your Creator. Your name, words, and love shall live on in our minds and hearts forever. Adieu Grandpa.

Tribute to my Father-in-law
It was with great sadness that I received the call on the 4th of May that Daddy Abeji had breathed his last on this side of heaven and gone Home to rest with the Lord. He was not much of a talker but whenever he spoke you could tell that his words had been carefully chosen. Each call with Daddy ended with 'God bless you'. I am grateful for the video calls we had- his face would light up animatedly to see his grandchild; clearly he loved children. This and many other memories are what we will hold dear till we meet on the resurrection day. Adieu Grandpa.

Tribute to Baba Ade
I glorify God for the life and time we have shared as husband and wife. Thank you so much for your love and great care. Thank you for your meaningful advice, guidance, and your sacrifices. More importantly, I thank God for His faithfulness bestowed upon the union and His grace that sustained us as a couple till your last breath. May the Lord be praised forever. Although I wished that you had stayed with us a little longer, but Lord knows best. We sorely missed you, Baba Ade. Rest in perfect peace, in the bosom of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ where we shall all live to part no more. Amen.

Tribute to my dad
My Daddy, I missed you, and I appreciate God Almighty for the grace and strength given to you to attain this age in life. You taught us, your children, academic excellence and Godly fear. We love you, but God loves you more. Continue to sleep in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ, till we see ourselves again on the resurrection morning. Good night, my beloved father.

My Sacrificial Daddy
To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2). To me personally, your departure was timely; you deserve an eternal rest in the Lord's paradise. I remembered when you said with all confidence about 8 years ago that nobody can force you home before your due date and time. Your transition to glory has lived true to your confession. Thank you for the sacrificial life you had lived for your family, most especially in the area of our education. We owe our current height in life to God and those sacrifices. You bought relevant books, enrolled us in home lessons, found time to check our class notes and assignments daily, and lots more. I remembered receiving series of well-deserved floggings while learning and memorizing arithmetic times tables in my primary school days. How can I forget those days in Ilorin when on hearing the sound of your car or the horn afar off, everybody disappeared into the living room or bedroom to study. Sweet daddy, I also remembered how happy you were one fateful day enroute to the farm in Ilorin. You assured us that we shouldn't bother about the future of our schooling and school fees, that God has settled it. How can I forget when I was to resume my lecturing job at Igbeinedion University, Okada, you sacrificed your best shirt in your wardrobe for my use? I recall that you once hid your prostrate condition for a long while because you felt the cost of the treatment would affect one of your son’s medical expenses. In your opinion, your son’s health was more important than yours.
We love you. Undeniably, your legacy lives on. I know you made heaven, which is why I have the assurance that I will see you again. Rest in the overflowing peace of the Prince of peace, till we meet again, Daddy.

I have always thought I had the whole time in the world to say thank you for an awesome job, against all odds, in raising sons and daughter of impeccable character that you were indeed proud of, without any shadow of a doubt. However, God had a better plan, with the reward of eternal rest, which is comforting.

Thank you, papa, for your sacrificial love and care for your family, through thick and thin. In those tough moments of our lives, you had prioritized our desires over your needs. Papa, I remember you did not shy away from disposing of your only vehicle as seed funds, towards my first tuition fee. Indeed, that seed did bear fruit, embodied in my education; however, in your characteristic minimalist disposition, you had turned down a car gifted to you, few years down the line.

Thank you, papa, for the discipline instilled in us. You did not spare the rod where necessary and gave out carrots for excellence. The fear of the rod kept me out of troubles, while the desire to earn your praise drove me towards excellence. Back in the day, it’s the first position in my class or nothing
Papa, thank you for your unflinching dedication to our education. You were hands-on through till my college days. You were active engaged in our daily class assignments review. You enforced a stringent reading timetable. You didn't have lots of money; but of the little, you prioritized books. More importantly, you made that little money count so much, by walking several miles, hopping from one book store to another, looking for affordable used textbooks. This effort would have sufficed by any standards, but you did not stop there papa; you went further. You made sure you read all the thousands of books procured for your kids, highlighting the key points in the books. In reminiscence papa, it did not matter whether it was a Physics textbook or Government or Accounting; you read them all.

Papa, we love you so much, but God loves you more. Continue to rest in the bosom of our lord
