Hello Pete
I know you are in a better place and because of that, I am happy for you. But it's not so good for those of us who miss you. You are missed Pete by me and my entire family. My kids grew up with you, they remember you as the fun-loving uncle who brought joy into their life. I miss the visits, camping, and hunting trips we took together. You were a true friend and a joy to know. Anyone who took the time to truly know you came away blessed.
See you down the road.
Until then, love Hollis

Happy 70th Birthday in heaven, Peter. I try to imagine you with gray hair and mustache that 70 would bring. You'll forever be 58 in my mind. As I age, I miss you and all the talks, walks, and fellowship we'd be having now that my nest is empty. You are remembered dearly by all of us and we still tell your funny stories. You are a part and piece of each of us that never leaves. Love you brother.

It's hard to believe 12 years ago you went home. My joy overcomes my sadness that you're gone when I think how marvelous it must be to stand in the presence of God. We love and miss you, Peter.

Hello Pete,
Just to let you know you are not forgotten and after all this time I still miss you. My kids still talk about you and can't help but break out in a smile and laugh. You will be loved by this family until we get to see you again, especially Claire.
No one has loved a brother more. It was a joy to be around you Pete, I hope you are looking down at this, beating your chest, and smiling (I can still see you doing it when you got excited). You were a great friend! I know you have not passed but were called home to be with Jesus, I guess the Lord needed someone to brighten up his day.
See you down the road brother.
Love Hollis

Hal McClelland has now joined you. After you left for glory, Hal called every year on your birthday to tell me he was thinking of you. He'd reminisce about the good old days y'all were college roommates at SFA. He considered you one of his best friends. I sent him with a message to give you a big bear hug from me. I miss you Pete. Until we meet again.

Hello Pete! Miss you a lot and think of you often. You were one of the finest people I ever had the joy to know. I say joy because I smile and laugh when I think of you even now, all these years later. You were not dealt the best of hands in life, and yet you were a blessing to those who truly knew you. I was one, and I am blessed to have called you friend. Rest in God's arms and I will see you again.

Peter,
You were a great friend, cousin & foil. Where I was cautious, you were gregarious. Your face was always transparent, alight with mischief and encouragement to any adventure.
Exploring the Kole farm & family that I knew was always a wonderful adventure with you. Any tool or machine young boys could imagine, and a summer to exhaust the imagination. Thousands of acres, with horses, barns, mechanic shops, tree houses, hydroplane boats, catfish. Wildlife and ponds, swimming and riding, big breakfasts and honey comb from bees in farm building walls. And huge concrete locks to protect the fresh from the salt water so near the Gulf.
All we needed was an idea. Then we were off... egging on Halloween, or rabbit hunting with 22/410s, or gig frogging, maybe driving crazy in a park in old rattletrap cars. (& stuff I'd still get in trouble about now if my mom found out!)
Recently I meet a new friend at work in Orange, just before his retirement. When I mentioned I was from Winnie, he immediately mentioned your name as someone else from there, and said you & his brother were great friends in college football. Imagine how his face lit up in amazement when I told him we were cousins! Then the memories & stories flowed.
I lost track of you after high school. But I have never been more than a moment away from a memory you shared with me, and a smile of remembrance of our youth.
We are always cousins, and soon will be friends again in eternity.

Miss you, Pete. The moon's been full the last few nights ~ and I think of you. You are still the best howler at the full moon like a werewolf I've ever known. Now I howl at it, just to stand in your place ~ gotta' keep the tradition going. Love, your sis, Meg

Peter was one of my best friends in High School and was always fun to be around. Guy, Peter, and myself had many many good times at the farm growing up and learning to work hard and play even harder. I'll miss you my old friend  R.I.P.

Although I was not in the in crowd and I didn't ever go out to the Kole farm, I do remember Peter being such a clown in school. Always pretending to run into a door or something to make us all laugh. So sad to hear about his death. Prayers to all his family for comfort and strength during this difficult time.
