Peter Jefferson Wynne, Jr., 84, a lifetime resident of Granville County, passed away Tuesday, January, 22, 2013 at Granville Medical Center.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Peter Jefferson and Belma Perkinson Wynne. He was a member of Mt. Creek Baptist Church and retired as a Health Care Technician from Murdoch Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Bruce Brooks and Rev. Johnny Richards. Burial will be in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Lila Frazier Wynne of the home, twin daughters, Deborah Wynne Lunsford and Kimberly Wynne Dean, both of Oxford, three granddaughters, one grandson and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene W. Montague, Ethel W. Howard and two brothers, Thomas Wynne and Herbert Wynne.
Visitation will be held 7:00-8:30 PM Wednesday evening, January 23, 2013 in the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and other times at 2751 Hallie Burnette Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
