Pettis Stuart Cutts, 83, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville, Va.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Uriah Pettis and Gladys Campbell Cutts. He was of the Methodist faith and a retired tobacco auctioneer for thirty-five years.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Randy Baisey. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Surviving are four daughters, Pam Cutts Mihalik of Ormond Beach, Fla., Cheri Cutts Hart of Oxford, Melba Cutts Baker of Clarksville, Va. Cynthia Cutts Tucker of Richmond, Va., a son, Michael C. Cutts of South Hill, Va., eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-nine years, Katie Suitt Cutts, his daughter, Debbie C. Stallings, and a sister, Nancy C. Patteson.

Visitation 12:30-2:00 PM Saturday , December 22, 2012 prior to the memorial service at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home of Randy and Cheri Hart, 2553 Enon Road, Oxford, NC 27565.

Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford is assisting the Cutts family.
