Yes, It's me again, Philip another year has gone by since I last wrote; however, I think of you frequently. Really. Frequently.

I went with school colleagues to a driving range last month--Top Golf--tiered outdoor levels with electronic scoring. Only three of the 25 teachers had ever golfed or even held a golf club (LOL) I was proud to show off all you taught me. They called me "the pro" as they actually understood your directions about creating triangles.

Miss you still. : )
Always will.

Love, Resa

Hi Philip

That last tribute was written some time ago but just uploaded today. Today I am still missing you very very much. Zaire continues to grow into a fine young man--started high school this year and is doing well. He likes school. And now you have Dani up there with you as part of your heavenly family. I know you are all happy together. We are all doing fine here. No need to worry. You gave your family so much love that we are still living off of it. Thank you, My Dear.

Love,

Dear Dear Philip
I miss you every day and thinking of you still brings tears to my eyes. You will be happy to know that you are remembered by many in Cambridge. I was recently talking to an architect whose son was in your class at the Baldwin School. He remembers his son coming home and telling him that Mr Harrington taught him that “we are all Black”. The father remembers this fondly. You made such a difference in many many lives.
I love you.

Hey Philip
It's 12 years...twelves years!!!!  It's 2021. . . yet your haughty laughter, your broad smile and wit linger within my mind.  Never will forget our happy times, Philip.  Last week I bought a guitar and grinned real big while I signed up for lessons and thought how you taught yourself to play clarinet. You told me "Resa, I want to play like Benny Goodman, King of Swing." My goal is to play the "Sound of Silence" because you made me believe I could do anything! You will forever be missed.    Your sister, Resa

Hi, Daddy! Thinking about you and missing you today and every day. Zaire and I talk about you fondly and often. I was recalling this weekend how you video taped interviews with then strangers in the parking lot at Spelman when I first arrived as a freshman. Many of those folks became friends and all remember that as a highlight of our college careers. Just one example of so many ways that you warmed hearts at home and in our extended community. I love you!! ~ Daughter #1

Daddy,
Some days, I just can't bear the pain of your absence. Today is one of those days. I think of you everyday. I even close my eyes sometimes and imagine your laugh and warm hugs. I here you say my name with affection. "Kamala-bala". I'm so "lucky" to be able to draw on those memories they make me sad, but mostly lift me up. Many of those memories make me giggle out loud.
People continue to tell me of the impact you had on their lives. Many times it's men my age whom you influenced, more than just a few. They say you are one of their heroes and role models. A hero. It makes me so proud - proud to be your kid, but proud of you. You have left an honorable and memorable legacy. You worked hard, Daddy. I hope you're sitting back and thinking: "I did well". You did extraordinarily. I miss you so much. I can't wait to see you again. Don't ever forget, you're daughters love you.

Hi Hon

I miss you now more than ever. I think of you often and review all the times we had together. I wish you were here to give your love and encouragement to your amazing grandson, Zaire. Don't worry. He remembers you and knows you are in heaven.

Your girls are doing fine. You raised them so well.

Thank you for introducing me to your wonderful family. I am still enjoying happy and hilarious times with them.

I know you are looking down at us from your happy place with your parents and are playing golf with Fred all the time.

I love you.

My uncle Phil!!! I love you so much. I miss you. My memories go back to Sherborn Ma. Where your smile, and how you loved reminded me of what family was and how it felt to be a Harrington. You were a brilliant man and a true example of what a father should be. I will spend the rest of my life hoping to be at least half the man you wer. All who had the chance to know you, whether if it were for years or a mere moment, were forever blessed. And that's what's up. Love you-Varnie

It's funny how you we live our lives and forget meetings, birthdays, or the last thought on our mind. But the memories spent with you fail to fade. From golfing (youth years), to laughing & singing (holidays), to education (INDEPREP), you are always in thought. Hard to imagine that i am now the new Unlce for my youth. Thanks & Love

  1.  Philip.
You are probably mentioned for something or about something in every family gathering—still. Bobby surprised me yesterday by bringing Dallas and Harriette with him for a day visit (since my hip replacement surgery) Yes, I was genuinely surprised, like the time all of you surprised me in Atlanta for my 60th. “The rabbit has been spotted”. Anyway, we spent most of our time singing and playing the piano. Bobby can play EVERYTHING!!  I suggested he compose his own music and write lyrics. That’s when Dallas mentioned you.  Twyla chimed in (no pun intended) on how all her uncles’ wonderful talents. This date is a reminder of many precious memories. I know without a doubt it shall always be so. Indubitably.  Miss you still.

06 On Your Face

Philip

The new school year (2016-17) began a week ago and I was standing on my step ladder in my classroom leaning against the front wall, arms stretched up high rolling and stapling bulletin board paper.  It was seven years ago that I was doing the same thing, when God took you away.   I'll never forget.  It was such a sad day.  I cried so hard...and still get teary eyed now just at the recall.

But, happy thoughts of you Philip always step in immediately  like a bright sunny day after a storm replacing streaming tears from my eyes with sounds of your joyous contagious laughter to my ears.  I'll never forget how you cackled and how you'd throw your head back. hold your sides then sigh "Oh, boy."   I remember it well.

Then, there were the hours on end when we would:  read and talk, snack and debate, talk and laugh at the table, I'd nod on the couch and you'd sleep in your favorite chair, then we'd awaken and talk some more--my brother, my friend.

Thoughts of those moments and conversations bring me comfort and cheer even now in missing you.

So, today I just wanted you to know, I still miss you Philip.

You little sister
