This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Polycarp Clerkson, 38, born on November 4, 1976 and passed away on September 2, 2015. We will remember him forever.

Polycarp was astute, with a modest mien and humble personality. A rare gentleman that transcended his generation as a shining example of honesty, humility, hard work and God fearing. He dared the odds of life by sheer determination and resilience in education, career, family and service to community which culminated into sterling educational qualifications, high flying career in the banking sector, mentor and friend to a teeming population of young and older people.

He held a Master in Business Administration (MBA) – Agribusiness and B. Agric Tech (Hons) (Second Class Upper) Agricultural Economics and Extension from the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Adamawa State. An Associate of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN). Until his death, he was a staff of Fidelity Bank in Kano.

A wonderful father and husband, married to Titilayo, blessed with two rare gems, St. Daniel and Joanna. Survived by father, mother, brothers and sisters. In the service of the lord, Polycarp loved the lord and had faithfully served in the Lord’s vineyard, committed to his calling and was a passionate giver.

A great man has departed, a gulf created, you will be greatly missed.

Rest well in the bosom of the Lord.

@Polycarp Clerkson was a dependable, honest and good friend. He was a man of character and capacity, focused and committed to good values & ideals. He was someone you will be proud to have as a friend.

We spent good times together in Gombe as colleagues and friends and I will always cherish those memories.

As I saw Joanna's 10th birthday pix on Facebook, I am confident that my friend left a great legacy that will fulfil the greatness he was destined for.

Joanna, I pray you and your brother grow to become great leaders of their generation.

No one thought he would leave this world so quickly, it is written in destiny would lose a wonderful friend but now he has become an angel who will protect us from heaven

His death is an unfortunate loss for all who were his friends, and we appreciated him a lot in our hearts, may he rest peacefully and that God will protect him forever

God will surely keep and protect his family.... RIP bro.

In a midst of my grief, I faced a daunting task of crafting a eulogy for an extra ordinary person, Polycarp Clarkson, my very good friend for 20 years. Just few weeks ago we were discussing banking industry. Polycarp and I met in the university remained good friends. His dream was to be a medical doctor while mine was to be an engineer but as fate will having we ended up as Agricultural Economists.
Polycarp's life was taken away from us too soon and it's hard to understand why tragic things like this happen to such good people. Today let's celebrate his life and remember all the remarkable thing Poly accomplished and how wonderful his life was.
I feel grateful that I was asked to pay tribute to Polycarp brilliant scholar, banker per excellent, a fighter and my very good friend. Adieu!

The passage of the gentleman that is Mr Polycarp Clarkson is disheartening. We live on to remember him fondly and to support his wife & children in prayer that the Good Lord will comfort them. Rest thee in peace beautiful soul.

Oh! Poly Poly as i used to call you. A very good friend of mine and a class mate. I remember when we first mate at JSSl in TC Numan, u took 2nd position after Peter Ngene while I took the 8th position. U whispired some words of encouragements into my ears. U asked me to double it up. That kept me moving then. God! Poly Poly, litle do I know that u wl leave so soon. Oh Poly, leave io our Lord's bosom in peace. Till we meet to part no more.

He was one of those that were close to me in my first year in the university. we first met in BWASU. He was really a gentleman in my eyes. I love seeing him with my friend Titi who later became his wife. 

I came over with a gift on his son's birthday and he called from Kano to thank me for remembering Daniel's day(it seemed like they all forgot the date). I was touched.....may your kids live long with their mother in love, harmony and sound health with all people. They will never lack helpers IJN. No weapon fashioned against them shall ever prosper. God's peace shall fill their hearts and heal their wounds.  They are blessed and no one can reverse it amen. Good night Mr Clerkson... Humumpwa a vu han nzato. And to you Philip, thanks  for the site creation.
