“A WOMAN OF GRACE"

November 10, 2012

Mummy Ajibade,

Exactly 1 year ago today, you took your glorious exit from this sinful world.

When I remember the phone call I received to tell me you were gone…I still cannot believe it. My mind still keeps going back to our last conversation when you said you were just going to see your daughter and grandchildren, but you never returned.

I believe strongly in my heart that being such a righteous woman of great- unwavering faith, who had a rock solid relationship with the Lord Jesus – you had caught a glimpse of God’s glory, and could not help but behold that glory forever - in spite of the love & devotion you had for your family, friends and loved ones here on this earth.

As I walk through the journey of life, I remember you – My Great Aunty!  You were such a loving, caring, generous, soft-spoken, forgiving and hardworking woman who truly had ‘the heart of God’. I remember how growing up, you were one of the few people that reflected God’s love, fear & compassion to me. I also remember how your life examples helped me choose the right path with values and great confidence in the Lord’s finished work on the cross of Calvary.
As I remember, I pray to be a mother like you, to shape my children & grandchildren into strong adults in the Lord who (just like you) will be His mouth & hands IJMN (Amen).

In life, people tend to find nice things to say about loved ones that have passed on because they think it is the ‘politically correct’ thing to do. With you Mummy, I’m glad to say that everything I have said in this tribute, as well as everything everyone else will say about you is a ‘True Representation’ of who you were…it takes no effort at all!                                                                                                                                       Everyone who knew you will never forget you Mummy Ajibade! You were not just a beautiful woman, but you also had a beautiful spirit. Your memory will forever be enshrined in my heart. I love you and miss you sooooo much…especially the conversations we used to have in which you taught me so much about God’s goodness & mercy. You were indeed “A WOMAN OF GRACE & PRAYER.” I hope the rest of the family know (like I do) that all the seeds of prayer you sowed in your lifetime have not gone unheard, but are a memorial to the Lord for generations to come. Continue to rest in the bosom of our Heavenly Father sweet Mummy, until we meet to part no more.
