Priscilla was born in Corbin, Kentucky to Clifton and Izetta Carroll. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald G. Leet in 2016, and also by her parents and her brother Glenn Carroll. She is survived by her daughters Cindy and Romy Leet, her grandson Brandon Leet, her sister Diana Carroll(Snell,Doug- husband), sister-in-law April Carroll and many nieces and nephews and devoted longtime family friends including Ronald Dabbelt of Oakwood, Larry Smith of Culpepper, Virginia,Carl and Onda Francis of Cincinnati, James and Cathy Swisher of Kettering and many many more.
Priscilla’s family, both blood-related and chosen, meant the world to her. She was always there for her friends and family with a good word, a laugh, or a delicious homemade goody, and ready to celebrate any social occasion with a smile, some great music, and a highball (Priscilla drink). To Cindy and Romy, she was the “fun” mom, whose house everyone gravitated to, simply because she made it so welcoming and always filled it with love and laughter. For the family’s close friends, the Leet household became the only place to go for New Year’s Eve or summer parties in the back yard.
Priscilla was not just the heart of the family, she was also an integral part of the BookShoppe, a Dayton bookstore she and Don owned and operated for many years, and for a few years a valued employee and friend of the Skywriter, the Wright Patterson newspaper.
She and Don also shared their love of travel, movies, and book and antique collecting throughout their years together, traveling or cruising to many local and international destinations all over the world, especially in the Caribbean. Priscilla’s final travel destination, her last “Sentimental Journey” is now complete, and she now rests in the loving arms of Don and all those who have gone before. We wish her Bon Voyage. She will never be gone from our memories or our hearts.
To help us share memories of her, please come and share with us a celebration of her life beginning at 4 pm on April 27, at the Moraine Eagles hall, 3143 Elbee Road, Moraine, Ohio.
