Scientific contributions:
- Supervisor of M.Sc. and Ph. D students in the field of horticulture.
- Author of more than 60 published papers mainly with physiological aspects of fruit tree production in Egypt including date- palm, citrus, mango , bananas and other species of tropical, subtropical, temperate and Mediterranean climatic regions.
- Participate as authorized representative of Egypt in the preparatory meetings in (Valencia1990, Marrakesh 1991, Jeddah 1992, and Cairo 1993) establishment of the date -palm research and development network.

3- Symposium on physiology of productivity of the subtropical and tropical tree fruits Australia 1985,

- Participate as an invited speaker in the date-palm celebration in libya 1991, and celebrating the 32 nd science week in Syria 1992.
- Major author of four text books in Pomology.
- major participant in translating two text books in Horticulture and Pomology.
- Counselor of Pomology curriculum committee for the Agriculture Secondary Education, A.R.E.
- Invited speaker and instructor in educational training programs in friut producation arranged for teachers and personnel of the horticulture society in A.R.E.
- Coordinate with different entities to manage technical regional symposia to encourage evolution of productivity and quality of the Egyptian date industry.
