It was William Shakespeare that said "Death, a necessary end, will come when it will come". Prof. Obienu, you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and have kept the faith. I remember you, not only as a Professor of Mathematics, but as a colleague and friend. You volunteered to campaign for me to enter Nnamdi Azikiwe University Senate in the 1990s-what will ever remain green in my memory. "Death is not the last sleep, but the final awakening"( Sir Walter Scott) It is our prayer that the good Lord, with His angelic echoes of mercy and whispers of love, will receive you in His eternal kingdom and give those of us, family and friends, you left behind the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.
