It’s been a long year…
Accepting the reality of your sudden demise as all part of God’s master plan
Piecing together the million shatters of my broken heart
Masking the lingering pain of losing you as the rest of the world moves on
Holding dearly to the fond memories of you living your life without regrets
Understanding my loss of you as the gain of an angel I know

I have no idea how subsequent years will be lived longing for your earthly presence, maybe longer than the first. However, I’m rest assured and consoled by God’s promise of a blissful eternity where we meet to part no more. Until then, keep resting in the dearest bosom of our Lord.

With love from:
Toli Toli

I was shocked when I heard you have suddenly left us to be with the Lord.

You were everything to humanity: A kind father, who wholeheartedly cared for people in need; regardless of their background, age, race, religion, status, personality, etc.

As a God fearing Pastor, everyone you came in contact with, felt your positive impact, which was expressed with the love of Jesus Christ in you.

The work of the Lord did NOT suffer in your hands. Rather, you served with example, while leading others to Christ.

Rest in the bosom of the Lord Daddy.

Sir, you are my Father in the Lord but I always called you my in-law, Sir you are a soldier, a mentor, a father that lead a sheep and lamb. You have laid a impact in so many people's life, it was a shock to me has I heard the news of your death because we were together Sunday before you pass on.
What shall we say to God than to say " Thank you lord" because what we see has sadness in our eye maybe a joy in the sight of God.
Sir you are exemplary to people because you serve God with all you have, you are a Gallant soldier of Christ.
Eccl 3 said in every thing there is time and season
I am using this period to pay a tribute to you my pastor, father, mentor, in law

ADIEU, FOR NOW, MY FATHER!

I cannot believe I am writing a tribute for your departure at this time! But God has his own plans, and even though it hurts, it is our relationship with God that I am most grateful for during this very difficult time.

First, I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to be your son. I am grateful for your legacy, your principles, and teachings. However, I am most grateful for the desire to be like the good, God-fearing Christian you were.
I am so grateful to have had a true man of God to pattern my life after. As your son, I would watch how you would love, nurture, and provide for us as a family. Even in the small ways like when you would bring food home on your way from work or order food after work, always making sure we were taken care of.

With that said, I will try to be a positive influence on the people around me just like I have seen you do so many times. Moreover, I will remember the good times we had together such as waking up early and going to church on Sunday morning, going for mid-week service, and taking many road trips and family vacations.

They say that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Therefore, my only consolation is that you are with God in Heaven and one day, we shall meet to part no more! No words can express the pain and feelings in my heart, but I can say that I, your son Bolaji-Oyenekan Tioluwatimofe will miss and always love you.

Baba Omo omolara, Daddy timofe. Till will meet again, Rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus.

ADIEU, for now, My Father!

• I'm more than perplexed by your dramatic exit from our presence. I hesitated to write on the book of condolences opened on your behalf because I was expecting that God will resurrect you and send you back to us to finish your unfinished ministry with us. It's very heartbreaking to know that we can only hope to see you again on the Resurrection morning. Past tenses are inappropriate for your buoyant spirit. That's another reason for my delay. You were total in your service to God; distance or location wasn't a hindrance to you in doing Let's- go-a-fishing. Testimonies on God's faithfulness and goodness to your life weren't scarce in your mouth and you were always eager to testify. Your testimonies were a soothing balm for all our hurts and challenges. Your testimonies encouraged and comforted us in no small measure. You were a servant-leader to us because you massively participated in every task that you gave us. You danced like David at all times in honour and worship of your Maker. You were at peace and joyous in dwelling in God's presence. You were incurably hopeful of a better tomorrow. Your love for your wife and children is exemplary and unbeatable You were a scriptural model of a husband and a father. You were a good and faithful man. "Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge."
-Proverbs 14:26

For my Father, who Found a Fortress in God.

If we all wrote a thousand words to testify the goodness of God in your life,
my dearest daddy, it would be a lifetime of testimonies.

Words are not sufficient to describe all that you were: A caring father and
dependable guardian to me and my siblings, a loving and dedicated husband to my mother, and an exemplary role model to everyone gathered here.

Your laugh, your smile, your jokes, your love, your stories, and your presence
always resonated in every room you stepped in, and with everyone you met.
My memories of you are filled with kindness, gentleness, love, care, humility, and the purest aura I have ever seen in anyone in my life.
The life you lived was an example to many. You dedicated your life to service, spreading the word of God to family, friends, colleagues, acquittances, and even strangers.

On Earth we have lost a friend, husband, father, brother, uncle, mentor, and most of all, man of God. But heaven has been blessed with the liveliest, funniest, ever-joyful, dancing, and most loving guardian angel.

You will remain in our hearts forever. Rest well Daddy.

Your daughter,
Oluwatunmise Bolaji-O.

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: ... A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”
– Ecclesiastes 3. 1-8

My Forever Love and Mentor,

Of the many lessons you instilled in me,  I must reflect upon the one where you constantly reminded me that a lifetime is made of different seasons that would unfold in due time according to God’s will. Indeed, God’s will was evident in your life, and now that there are no more earthly seasons to be unfolded, I must hold dearly to the ones I had the privilege of sharing with you.

There was a time and a season for you to love, and you did so wholeheartedly and unconditionally. Your love for God and mankind was so strong that you dedicated your life to serving Him and preaching His gospel to anyone and everyone so that they may be aware of eternal life in His kingdom. Your love for your friends and family was so pure and non-judgmental, that you found a way to respect and treat them equally, regardless of their diverse backgrounds and personalities. Your love for my mother, “Aya Ọmọtayo”, was so genuine and admirable that the four corners of this world could testify that you two were a match made specially in Heaven. Your love for my siblings and I was so sacrificial that you went above and beyond to make sure our needs were taken care of and we never lacked for anything.

There was a time and a season for you to work, and you did so diligently. In your secular duties as an IT Specialist, you worked so hard to never let your team members down even if it meant spending the night at work or coming home after work hours. In your religious duties as a Pastor, you worked so hard to have a personal and positive impact on your congregation. Through your fulfillment of all these duties, you showed my siblings and I the importance of being a diligent worker and a faithful servant to the Lord.

There was a time, and many seasons, where you were joyous and laughed, as God gave you many reasons to be celebrated and celebrate those around you. You were present in every major and minor achievement of your friends and family, all while returning the glory to God. Your life was filled with so much laughter even up to your last hours on this Earth when God granted you his sufficient grace to celebrate with us during our last family meeting.

Now the time and season has come for you to depart this world, and what a glorious exit it has been! It was only right for God to call you home after living such a fulfilling and purposeful life. My heart will hurt remembering you vividly in my mind, but not seeing you with my eyes.

So, is this my season of hurting when 2 Corinthians 5:8 says, “to be absent from the body [is] to be present with the Lord?”  I say the answer to that question is “No,” as I declare this is my time and season of Knowing. Knowing that you now dwell in the dearest bosom of our Heavenly Father and I know He is incredibly pleased with the life you lived.

We love you, but God loved you more because “Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His saints.” Psalms 116:15 NKJV Isaiah 57:1. All these pleasant times of your life will forever live on in my heart and the lessons I have learned from you will continue to help me navigate this world.

Till we meet again in Heaven, rest well.

Your Daughter,
Temiloluwa (Toli Toli, Omotola)
