Grandma, I am so grateful for how much you emphasized the importance of education. Because of you, my Mom went to some of the best universities in Nigeria and the US, and I had the opportunity to go to some of the best universities in the world. Your determination to give the best to your children has provided me with the life I have and I am so grateful to you. We love and miss you Grandma. Love, Ife

Happy Bday Grandma! One of my favorite stories is of you as a young girl buying fabric and sewing her own uniform in order to "sneak" into school! I love the story because it reminds me of the determination to succeed that lives on in your children and grandchildren. We love you!

Dancing to The Music of Life

July 30, 2011

I will never forget the last time I saw my wonderful grandmother.  She greeted me with open arms and a dancing celebration.  She was always happy, positive, and wishing well for others.  I know she continues to dance and celebrate in heaven as she watches her children and her grandchildren continue her wonderful gift of dancing to the music of life.

We Miss You Grandma,

She Lives On

July 24, 2011

My time with grandma was short. And our ways of communication was even shorter. However, despite the few moments I had with her and the language barrier, I could tell one key thing about my grandmother: she was a VERY caring, loving, and strong woman that loved to give not only to her family but to the community around her. I see these same traits in my mother, Jums Babatunde, and I think we can all find comfort that Rachel Oluwemimo Oladipo at least lives on through her children.

Rest in peace grandma,

Olamide
