It is with great sadness that I inform you of the sudden demise of Rahul Shukla, Manager and SAP-PLM lead with Accenture IDC. Rahul passed away due to a cardiac arrest on July 29, 2012.

Rahul joined Accenture in 2003 as a Senior Software Engineer and was associated with the SAP platform since its inception. He played various roles as part of the capability and was instrumental in growing the SAP-PLM practice to 100+ people. Rahul was a very dynamic person, an excellent mentor and people developer. His sudden demise has left all of us in the PLM practice in deep shock and grief.

Rahul (36) is survived by his wife and two children.

There were many occasions which has asked for his help, and he was always there with full on down-to-earth attitude and always a "YES' for the help & once when I thanked him for help his reply was 'Help in the same way to the person, who requires it, and that will be a real sense of my accepting your thanks'.

One of the most talented person I ever came across.. Rahul had all the Accenture business process on his fingertips. He was detail oriented, effective communicator and liked by every one in the team. He was always approachable. His untimely demise has left a huge void which cannot be filled that easily.. IDC has lost one of its pillar of strength.. May his soul rest in peace

It was shocking to hear about Rahul. Knowing his dynamism, his optimistic attitude towards life, his work and his never say no attitude I just could not come out of the shock that he gave us. Rahul was so full of energy that it’s very difficult to believe he’s no more with us. He was always the go to person for any info related to processes (be it performance appraisal process, competency assessment or any other thing). His passing away will lead to a big void…

Though I never met Rahul in-person, his presence was always felt in all communications due to his association with team. It was a moment of immense shock to believe that Rahul is no more with us.

Rahul was a very good friend of mine, although i had known him for 4 years, he would always give me some great moments to cherish forever. It’s impossible to believe that Rahul is no more,I don’t believe it .He just left the physical body early, like Swami Vivekanandha . He is such a determined person , I don’t think so he will accept God’s decision so easily. He is still with his family and with us .

Shukla and I spent 4 amazing years in Roorkee together. I still remember his cheerful smile and wonderful attitude to everything in life as if it were yesterday. We unfortunately lost contact a few years after our undergrad and I was thinking of reaching out the next time I came to India. Looks like I should have acted sooner. Shuka, you will be missed! But will stay forever in our hearts

It's still not sinking that we do not have Rahul among us anymore, I attended quite a number of meetings with him. His professionalism and leadership were quite outstanding. I always looked up to him as an inspiration to improve myself. His demise is a big loss to the PLM team and more so to his family. I pray God to provide the courage and support to his family. I woked with Rahul for one year and specifically over last two months regulary. He is wonderful and hard working person.As soon as I came to know his sudden demise, I could not come out of the shock for almost two days.This is great loss for his family and kids. I had the pleasure to meet Rahul in my work with Unilever in Netherlands. We stayed in the same hotel and we worked together and dined together several evenings while there. Really enjoyed his professionalism, his warmth and enjoyed spending time with him. A truly great man, I wish my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

I personally did not know Rahul, but would often pass by him over his desk. He used to sound very dynamic, energetic, confident and passionate at his work. His absence will surely be missed by all his team mates. It is a huge loss to his family and dear ones. I guess God also likes to have good people around him. I knew the name since 2004, but first got a chance to meet Rahul 3 months back when he started travelling to Netherlands and also got a chance to work with him. He was very smart and sharp person. We did get a chance to talk as well about our personal life during our interactions outside work while travelling within Netherlands for some events. I feel really sad about Rahul and his family

I had known Rahul even before I joined Accenture. An Alumnus of our Institute, I can still remember Rahul taking my campus interview and later recalling over dinner, his time at IIT Roorkee. I worked remotely with Rahul on SAP PLM bootcamp since 2 years now. I was lucky and happy to meet him in May within Unilever project in Netherlands. Warm and nice person, tremendous expert, impressive guy ... This is a big human loss. I send all the support and comfort I can to his family. I wish my sincere condolences.

Rahul has left a lasting impression on me over the last 4 yrs. He brought so much energy and passion in whatever he did. He was a great people person who enjoyed so much adulation from his team that very few Mgrs do. I have lost a great friend. He will truly be missed but his legacy will linger on. I met Rahul while he was working with Unilever during 2012. Initially we had a number of telephone calls & he impressed me both with regards to his approach to work - he was very thorough - but also his personality; very friendly and helpful. I then met him a number of times face to face & again he struck me as a very kind, friendly man. A very sad loss, my thoughts are with his family.

I literally cried out loud when I heared it from Sanjeev Khosla, "Rahul Shukla found dead in his Hotel room ......". I could not hear what he said after that. I had a Very Very Special and Unique relationship with him. As my college-mate, he was Six years Junior to me, while as an Accenture-mate, he was my Supervisor. In this single event I lost all, my Teacher, my Friend and my Student.

I was associated with Rahul wayback in 2007 and was also my supervisor for a short stint. There were so many things to learn each day. +ve attitude, +ve energy not to mention an ever smiling face. I always adored the dedication and the go-getter attitude and felt inspired all the time. This news felt like a jolt as i very recently met in mall. Will always be in my memory,may his soul RIP

After a gap of almost 9-10 months, Rahul called me as a surprise when I came to know that he is shifting to NOIDA and keeping his family at Lucknow for time being.
On 13th July, I had a long chat with him, for almost an hour. I was too excited that when I would be back to India, we will meet again at NOIDA. But oh God!... still crying for my dear friend.

I don't know where you are right now! In our memory? sure.

I started my career with Accenture during 2006 and got a chance to talk with you in the year 2007; it was my first CAMS assessment. My first perception about you " this guy at least give value to a resource".

Next, it was sometime during 2008, I was about to leave office around 7PM, received a mail from you "urgent, if you can help with some PM questions" like that. I replied with a simple yes and you called me; and requested if I can complete the task on that night itself and within 9PM! I don't know why, I again said yes and the job was done. Got a reply around 9.30PM "thanks a ton"! I was so happy.

This was during year 2009, I had nominated me for a KSS talk in B'lore. Submitted my article and got selected; it was quite easy! You called me and asked to get ready for a travel. You were surprised that I had never got a chance to deliver such kind of talk.

Next, during end of 2011, you just asked me "Are you available for a PM boot camp in Kolkata?". I agreed and the job was done.

Its all you in my parallel career growth of Accenture. A tremendous inspiration,a friend and above all a guide.

Never got a chance to meet you! but you were so close.
