Zoom Meetings - Day 4: Valentine’s Days- A loving Angel to Cherish
Attending the zoom meetings for prayers, comfort and remembrance, I have seen, heard and learnt that everyone is finding the loss of Raj too upsetting. Everyone is extremely shocked and so sad. He really was the nicest human being. He made you feel special. He was kind, believed in you, never put you down. A unique human being, a paragon of God’s finest work.
Listening to people talk about his acts of random kindness. Just before he passed he left different things, token gestures that no other person would do. One thing for sure, was that he was always his unique, lovely self, always ready to make sure that you would be okay. He was selfless and put you first. Whilst he lived, he gifted us with gestures of love, took us around the World through his photos and videos, told us funny stories and showed us how to live and lead happy lives.
I never heard Raj complain about anything. I never heard him swear, backchat, display anger, lose his temper or be horrible to anyone - that’s got to be an angel, right? Heaven sent, right?
No one will ever forget Raj passing because the loss and shock is too great to handle. Every time we come to terms with the fact, we remember the way he was, his presence, his smile, his voice, recollect a nice memory and start crying or become heavy heartedly tearful as he is no longer with us.
Of course amongst the tears we manage to laugh at the funny memories too. The video blog he called “Planet of the Apes” was so funny, whereby one monkey is picking another monkey’s bottom, his friend was searching for Hanumanji and by the end of the blog, a monkey was sitting, literally on Raj’s head. Then Raj signs off “This is Raj signing off from Planet of the Apes”.
We will grieve for years, even need counselling because his goodness was given unconditionally and endlessly to and for each one of us, he lived for others, to make us happy, seeing our laughter, smiles and happiness was of the utmost importance to him. He was one of a kind, irreplaceable.
I think that he was one of God’s most important creations, sent during our life time, a shining example of God’s creation of purity and natural beauty. We must count our blessings to have met him, that he made our moments worth cherishing and remembering forever.
