Uncle Ray,
Reading Yvonne’s tribute captures it all - your heart and your love for family was amazing.
I will miss you & wish my son could’ve met his Great Uncle. But mom will tell him all the stories and you’ll live on in all our hearts. We love and miss you so.

Dear Ray,
You had a giant heart - full of generosity and love. I wish our lives hadn’t been spent 3000 miles away - so much more could have been shared through adulthood. A great indicator of your character is Yvonne’s statement of what you meant to her, your role in her life. You will always be in my heart and my memories - and, thus, you live on. I love you.

Dear Dad,
You were my rock, my moral compass, my confidant, my heart. I knew so little about you, but you were always there for me, rain or shine, through every good and bad time in my life. Never judging, always loving quietly, leading by example, and asking nothing in return. I love you, dad, and I miss you everyday. You dedicated your whole life to protecting the people you love from the harshest elements of life, and I am so honored to call you my dad. Thank you for being my real life hero.

My dad. It wasn't until just after his death that I saw how much he sacrificed for me, his country as a Marine Corps Veteran, his family by being close by whenever we needed him.  He was always there behind the scenes, making the world a safer place for, not just his family, but people he never even met. He always went the extra mile to help others, to protect, to watch, and never got any credit for the sacrifices he made.  He was gone for so much of my life, protecting the country he loved so much. So that the people he loved could live here in safety and peace.  So noble and quiet. Such a wonderful sense of humor. This wasn't just a chapter of his life, but his whole life as an unacknowledged hero.  I love you, dad.

Dear Ralph, I am so sorry writing my tribute a little late this year, I am sure you will forgive me. Sometimes it seems like yesterday that God called you home and other times it is an eternity. I think God needed a new Gardener in heaven because he knew you could grow anything and then you could takes the fruits of your labor into the most wonderful kitchen in heaven and create your spaghetti sauce and the best salad tossed with your magical hands anyone ever ate. You are so missed Ralph by me and especially Kathy and all your cousins and friends. I will always love You.
