Ralph L. Grady, age 68 of Helena, AL, passed away February 5, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Grady; beloved sons, Matthew & Bryan Grady; daughters Jessie & Sara; his wonderful granddaughter Olivia and sweet sister, Jayne.
Born in North Carolina and raised in Chicago, Ralph was the eldest child of Daisy & Ralph Grady. He attended the University of Northern Illinois. A medic and Vietnam-Veteran, he worked as an operating room tech and later at Federal Signal and Accenture as a technical consultant. He was known for his sense of humor and always getting the last word. Ralph enjoyed cooking and volunteering at the Firehouse Men’s shelter. He was a member of Pilgrim Church UCC & also attended Grace Presbyterian for many years.
The Grady family are grateful to Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, Pastor Paul, Hearts of the Angels, and to all friends and caregivers who have loved and supported us through the years. A Celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Pilgrim Church UCC at: 2817 6th Ave. S., Birmingham, AL 35223. In lieu of flowers, donations to help cover medical bills and living expenses are appreciated.
Mr. Grady was preceded in death by Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Grady, his brother, David; his sister, Sue.
