Ralph was proud of his years with the Boy Scouts and of earning the Eagle Scout Award, including obtaining Palms.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping with the family and was an avid golfer into his 80's.

Ralph travelled extensively and was able to visit all 50 states, 7 Canadian Provinces and Mexico.

Ralph had a varied and successful career, that included:

Willamette National - shipping department, crane operator
TOMCO - Office Manager, Lumber Sales
Diamond Lumber Co. - Assistant to President, Sales Manager
Clemens Forest Products - Marketing Manager
International Paper - South Regional Sales Manager, Whole Sale Manager
Wood Castle Furniture - One of the Original Founders
Wood Castle Forest Products - Manager/Owner

Ralph retired in 1993 - freeing him up to spend his winters in Palm Springs 

Family

December 5, 2015

On September 1, 1951 Ralph married Rita Marchbanks.  They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 1, 2015.

They had four children between 1953 and 1970 - Ronald, Rodney, Ryan and Rachelle.  

The family expanded over the years and now includes daughter in laws Shirley and Stacia and son in law Leigh; the eight grandchildren - Kourtney, Regan, Nathan, B.J., Brittini, April, Mitch and Lindsey; as well as two great-grandchildren - Parker and Maverick.

Ralph was a family man that always had a smile that could light up the room, and seemed happiest when surrounded by family and friends.  
 

Early Life

Ralph was born April 20, 1931 to Orval and Hildred Loe, in Silverton Oregon and was baptized at the Imanuel Lutheran Church.  Ralph was the oldest of five siblings - Himself, Ray (deceased), Ernie "Dutch", Janice (Robertson) and Dennis.  The family moved to Sweet Home in 1942, where Ralph graduated from high school in 1950 and continued on to college studying accounting.
