Randall "Randy" John Ries was born on June 29, 1963 in Moorhead, Minnesota, the son of Rodney and Carol (Johnson) Ries. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1982 and then attended the International Fabricare Institute in Silver Springs, Maryland. Randy worked for Camelot Cleaners ar several locations across the United States. He moved to Sioux Falls in 1985 and managed One Hour Martinizing for five years. Randy Married Faith Bragg in 1985. In 1989, he opened his own business, RJ Ries Dry Cleanig. He expanded the business by buying out the Scotch/Vallet Cleaners. At the time of his death the business had grown to four locations in Sioux Falls. Randy married June Hage on August 8, 1998 in Sioux Falls. He was a very dedicated father & enjoyed spending time with his three children and family.

     Randy was an avid outdoorsman. He liked to go camping, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a member of the Minnehaha Archers Club.

     Grateful for having shared his life is his wife, June; three children, Matthew Ryan Grommesh, John Peter Ries, & Rachel Ann Ries; parents, Rodney and Carol Ries of Moorhead, MN; a sister, Dawn (Lynn) Forde of Fargo, ND, nephews Evan  & Eric, and a niece, Elle; grandfather, Norman Johnson of Fargo, ND; Aunts & Uncles, Nancy (Gabe)Aberle, Darlene (Hallard) Miller; many cousins, a mother-in-law and father-in-law, LaDonna & Abe Bethke; Sisters-in-law, Kelly Hage, Carrie Falor, Heather Hammer, Anita Hage; brother-in-law, Jamey Hage. He was preceeded in death by his grandparents, Mabel Johnson, John Peter and Eugenia Ries, and an uncle, Glen Johnson.
