Randall Shane Haynes
January 31, 1974- September 2, 2021
Randall Shane Haynes, Age 47, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born on January 31, 1974, in East Point, Georgia.

Shane graduated from Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia in 1992. An alumnus of Georgia Southern University, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 1996 and a Master of Public Administration in 1998. Shane worked at Eby-Brown Company A Performance Food Group Company as a Senior Account Executive.

In 1996, he married the love of his life, whom he met while working as counselors at “Our Time”, an after-school program for children. They would have been married 25 years this December 21st.

Shane was a believer who gave his heart to the Lord at Vacation Bible School at the age of nine. He remained active in various churches, missions, and ministries throughout his life as the family moved with employment opportunities. He loved God, his family, and his country. Shane was a jokester, a passionate Alabama Crimson Tide fan, and he always had a way with words. He was a positive, encouraging, and uplifting influence who enriched the lives of his friends and family with his presence. Shane exceeded any expectations of what a husband, father, son, brother, friend, or man should be. He gave great hugs and was affectionately known as, “Teddy”, to many.

Shane is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Payne Haynes and Florence Elizabeth “Betty” Burke Haynes as well as two brothers, Dennis, and Marlin Haynes, and his father-in-law, Kenan J. Kern. Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Kern Haynes, one son, Hayden Gabriel Haynes, and two daughters, Emmaline Elizabeth Haynes and Arden Olivia Haynes, a sister, Carolyn Haynes Harmon (Roger), a brother, Wendell Haynes (Deborah), and nephew, Sean Haynes, and niece, Ashley Haynes, as well as his mother-in-law, Beth N. Kern.

Services are to be determined at a future date. In the meantime, the family encourages you to leave a tribute or message in memory of Shane in lieu of a visitation. Mary Beth, Susan and I love you and your family very much and are so sorry for what's happened! We have many great memories of Shane and you from your days at NPBC! He was such a great guy! Friendly; easy-going; serving; and he loved Jesus deeply... or should I say, he LOVES Jesus deeply! :) He will no doubt be missed... but we all know, he is in good hands of the Good Shepherd! Praying for you and your family!
