Randall Shane Haynes, Age 47, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born on January 31, 1974, in East Point, Georgia.
Shane graduated from Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia in 1992. In 1996, he married the love of his life, whom he met while working as counselors at “Our Time”, an after-school program for children. They would have been married 25 years this December 21st.
Shane was a believer who gave his heart to the Lord at Vacation Bible School at the age of nine. He remained active in various churches, missions, and ministries throughout his life as the family moved with employment opportunities. He loved God, his family, and his country. Shane was a jokester, a passionate Alabama Crimson Tide fan, and he always had a way with words. He was a positive, encouraging, and uplifting influence who enriched the lives of his friends and family with his presence. Shane exceeded any expectations of what a husband, father, son, brother, friend, or man should be. He gave great hugs and was affectionately known as, “Teddy”, to many.
Shane is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Payne Haynes and Florence Elizabeth “Betty” Burke Haynes as well as two brothers, Dennis, and Marlin Haynes, and his father-in-law, Kenan J. Kern.
