Life Reflection Of Charles Randolph Garner

Charles Randolph Garner wished no one a final farewell, God quietly extended, His almighty hand of love and gently closed his eyes for eternal rest. On wendnesday, november 21,2013 at tappahannock riverside hospital, he left his earthly home and to his heavenly home of joy, peace and happiness.

Randolph, affectionatley known as 'polk' was born on september,19th, 1941 to the late Levi henderson and Mildred  Virgina Ball Garner. He recieved his education from westmoreland County Public School system. At an early age, Randolph confessed his faith in God, He later transferred his membership to Morning Star Baptist Church, Heathsville,Va. Randolph loved to hear the preached word of God and he traveled far and near visting churches during revival services, and church/ group anniversaries. His presence caught the attention on many pastors and ministers.

Randolph was joined in Holy Matrimony to Joyce Josephine Carey on August,13,1960, and to this union they were blessed with four children:
Charles,Coralynn, Robert and Clara. Possessing a kindred spirit and a
love of children, they welcome Charla into their home and raised her as
one of theirs. 

A man who did not stray from hard work, Randolph held many positions which
lead to the construction industry- Potomac Supply, Naval Surface Warfare Center
Clark Construction Company)Where he retired. Randolph loved sports especially
football and was an Pittburgh Steeler Fan. A natural giver, Randolph gave much to many. He had an generous and caring heart, often visiting the sick, and those in nursing homes. When his wife became ill, Randolph gave unstintingly of his love,time and energy taking care of her. Randolph loved people and people loved him. Where ever he went he never met an stranger.

He was proceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Joyce; parents, mildred and levi, two brothers- Robert and Levi,jr two sisters- Clara and Tirlene.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children Charles Garner(Lavern) Of Temple Hills,Maryland; Coralynn "Polly" Wise (James) of Montross, Virginia Robert Garner(Muriel) of Silver Spring,Maryland, Clara Epps(Nelson) of Richmond, Virginia, and Charla Irvin; Nine Grandchildren: Charles,Jr.,,Natasha, Latoya,Tiffany, Courtney, Jamesha, Robert , Cayvon And Dante ; Four Great-Grandchildren: Jaiden Johnson, Charles Garner II, Camiya Garner, and Jayla Jeter
