OUT OF THE BLUE!.....you just jumped in my spirit. I was just thinking and you popped into my subconscious. You were there for my photography sales company, you would let me pay you when i could, I fixed you up with my ex wife Debra because i loved you both. I'm a little angry at you for doing this, but sometimes i get so depressed I think.....I don't blame you. Life and times have changed so much since your passing with the Covid virus......I don't think you would have handled it very well. I want to keep writing but I think I'll stop and cry for a while. I break down about every other day the depression and anxiety are so strong.I hope taking care of the boat and your possessions weren't too much for your brother and friends. So long for now. I really loved you. Dennis James

Randy, a year has passed and I miss you dearly. Your work adorns our office walls and every website I work on - so not a day has gone by that I have not reflected on our time working together. We shared countless fun, interesting and challenging shoots and I miss them. I miss the quirky voice mails and check-ins with email and texts. I'm so sad you're gone from here, but I hope you're at peace now and we will meet again someday.

I live on 40’ sailboat, Randy was my neighbor for years, I build air plane hangers and I saw randy at work occasionally from time to time. Today I was complemented on my pics and I gave Randy credit for helping me take great pics (Randy was best!) and I tried to contact him, no reply. That ain’t Randy!! I will miss him dearly.

I texted you, emailed you, and heard nothing, which has never happened. When I pulled up your website, it had been closed. My heart sank, and I knew something must have happened. Randy, my friend, I am truly heartbroken. After I found this page yesterday, I couldn't sleep, but just kept reminiscing on the many shoots we did together over the last 5 years. I miss you, and will always miss you. You were truly one of a kind, a person who left your mark on this world, and on me. Be at peace dear friend. If any of his family or friends would like me to share some special moments and video, please email me. dniknafs@gmail.com

Looking at the photos and reading tributes from people that loved Randy was bitter sweet for me. My husband and I met Randy years ago, not by accident but by fate. We treasured his friendship over the years and he became a great friend of ours including our off spring down to grandkids. Had many enjoyable times from boating, dining out, special occasions like our kids weddings , birthday parties, sometimes just stopping in for a visit. Randy had a gift of gab and sometimes my husband and him would talk on the phone for an hour or two sharing photography ideas or some other crazy idea one of them would come up with. He was an amazing but humble photographer. Loved that he always thought out of the box! That’s what made him so very interesting.  We do and will always miss Randy dearly. Grateful for his friendship and the memories he left in our hearts and mind❤️. See you on the other side my friend

We met on vacation 25+ years ago, my friends neighbor. Helped me get a job so I could move here. I'll never forget how he went out of his way to help me and even though we didn't see each other often, we remained in touch and he was always there to lend an ear. RIP, his soul was bright, he left is mark and will be missed.

Randy was a close friend of our family. He had a way about him that always made me feel that he truly cared. Every time I saw him, he always made the comment “Your son should be a model, he got his looks from his momma”. Whenever my parents had parties and Randy showed up, it always made me smile that he was there. I hope you are taking snapshot of us from above so we can see them when we meet again. God speed Randy

His Life

Randy’s life

May 18, 2019

Randy grew up in Key West and West Palm Beach.  He attended college and pursued his talent in photography.  He had many interesting gigs as he navigated his way through college, and life....as a DJ, bartender, condo super; but his first love was always setting up the perfect photo shoot.

He was truly loved and loved in turn.  He was modest.  He was fierce.  He wouldn’t hesitate to greet anyone with his humor we all grew to love.  He was sharp-tongued.  He loved his family; brother Gary (Keri), half-brother Gordon (Marge), niece Jennifer (Alex), great nephews (Nick and Max), many cousins, and many wonderful life-long friends, and friends he met as he journeyed through this life.  He loved Key West.  He loved the mountains in North Carolina, where his lovely Mother, Thelma, grew up.  He loved boating. He loved scuba diving.  He loved being his own boss and running his own schedule.

But, nothing could hold a candle to his world renowned photography.  Capturing beautiful jets was his specialty.  Seeing some of his work in magazines was a common occurrence.   Getting a call from beautiful hotels asking to use his shots in a future website ad was the norm.  But Randy was the real deal.  Randy was a frontier in the art of photography.

We will miss Randy forever.  But, we know that forever doesn’t come with a guarantee for any of us.  And we can guarantee that no matter what or who you believe in, Randy is in a peaceful place already making a name for himself and getting the perfect shot.  He will be in our hearts and minds; joking, pointing his finger, and saying something a bit off color.

Cheers Randy!  Until we meet again............
