Aunty Dowu, you left in silence. Heaven’s gain was our loss - one gentle loving soul less among us. Our words may be simple and few but the precious and tender memories you left behind, abound. If only God had spared you a few years more, but He knew best. Cherish your eternal rest. We will always, always remember and love you dearly. Slumber on, dearest aunty Dowu and cherish your eternal rest

I thank God for the beautiful life of my dear aunty Dowu. Indeed the Lord gives and takes away. She left us with beautiful memories to draw from- her gentle spirit, her listening ear and her willingness to give that all-healing hug. I am glad that she knew the Lord. May she be an example to anyone who has not yet come to believe with their heart, confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is the son of God who dies to save us from the consequences of our sins. May her soul rest in peace with the Lord.

Mamie Lewis is gone, but will never be forgotten! She was a true Mom to most of us that had the privileged to know her. She was very friendly, warm, kind and caring. One day, I asked aunty Dowu if she ever gets mad? Her reply was--yes! am a human being, therefore, I have feelings too. But when I get upset, instead yelling and shouting at the top of my voice, I invoke the spirit of the holy Ghost to grant me patient. She concluded by Saying "patient is Virtue". I saw her for the last time, this past Saturday lying down on her heavenly bed, with a big smile on her face, saying to me--- Larry, am no longer in any pain and suffering, uncle Boy Sam, is right next to me. Rest in Peace my dear Mom-friend, for your legacy leaves on.

To a dear friend and big sister. Aunty Dowu, Dowu Chakra as I fondly call her, was a loving compassionate and understanding woman always ready to lend a listening ear. She was not only a friend but she was like a big sister to me .She was always there, with pieces of advise whenever it is needed. I shall miss her very much especially when on holidays in Atlanta. To the sons, daughters in law, grandchildren and numerous friends, let us all mourn as Christians with sure hope that she is now resting in the Lord. We al osh yar. May God grant her eternal rest. The world has lost a wonderful person. Aunty Dowu was known for her beautiful smile; and always had something nice to say about everyone. She fought a great fight and her strong faith in God never waivered. Your assignment on earth is complete. I know you are resting comfortably in the arms of the Almighty.
Until we see again, Rest in Perfect Peace.

Our Mother and a Friend!

What a loving lady Mamie Lewis was, I fondly call her Mamie Queen. She lived a life full of grace, her graceful ways we all adored. She was like a mother to us all, with a graceful smile we can't replace.

Chief (kwame) and Evelyn (Dr. Lewis) you need to know, your mother's reach was far and wide. All of us can fully attest, that Mamie Lewis was our Mamie Queen. She knew how to love because she was full of love,  touching us all with her loving heart. Her smile and grace we will certainly miss, she was truly one of a kind.

My wife and kids will never forget, her amorous ways and passion for life. She has started her journey to where her husband Boy Sam awaits, with Valona her lovely daughter to welcome her home. God Speed Aunty Dowu! Your job on earth was pleasantly done. Your endless impact will forever be, for all the sundry seeds you sowed.

Thanks again for being you, the You in You we loved so much!!! RIP Mamie Queen, and enjoy your work in paradise. Our love for you will forever be, till the time we get to meet again!
