Ray Potter was a fun loving man with a heart of gold. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son. His personality was larger than life. He loved singing and partying like no other man. Every Saturday night in Fuengirola his voice could be heard singing Dock of the Bay, Bring it on home to me, Dark side of the Street , Achy Breaky Heart and of course his all time favourite duet with his daughter Sharon which was Mustang Sally. He loved both of his children Sharon and Mark , and his grandchildren Joshua and Rosie more than anything and acted like a father to Joshua which is why his death was so heartbreaking.
He was so proud of his Son Mark who is a boxer and would talk about him all the time with a glowing pride that only a father could have. In many ways now Mark shows a resemblence to Ray which is a huge comfort to the family.
The week he passed away Ray had attended the gym 5 times. Why he was taken so young we will never know. A man so full of life should live for eternity. He may be gone but his memory will stay in our hearts forever.
When you look at the sky at night the brightest star that shines is Ray. May you rest in peace

Xmas time memories
Memories of my dad would be us going to the pub for a 12pm open. Coming back about 2 a bit worse for wear. After dinner he would start up the card school ...of course Mark and I always cheated but he had drank a few guinesses by then so he was none the wiser. Dad sitting cracking walnuts with his hands refusing to use a nutcracker as he was too hard for that!...even when they were those ones that wouldnt even crack with the nutcracker! Dad then demolishing the figs, dates and chocolates....
Such a big void to fill............Merry xmas dad x
