Last August began as easily as any other day getting a new patient . But this patient would be different. He started out as my patient but would soon become something more special. I told him and many others, he was the strongest man I knew and they just don't make them like that any more! I saw Mr Jeffrey on his great days, on his fair days, is worse days, and unfortunately his last days. Sompit, Beau, and Pops became like my family. They all became my friends. I will truly miss seeing them every week. I know this man will be truly missed, but I also know his work on this Earth was done. So what is a patient? Pops taught me that a patient is someone not only that you take care of, and help heal, and control their pain. A patient is a person that comes into your life, leaves an imprint on your heart, and reminds you what matters most through their courage and special touch. That was Mr. Jeffrey :)
