Raymond L. Jackson, 60, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday (October 30, 2016) in UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA.

He was born January 29, 1956 in Jamestown, the son of Donald and Fern Jackson.

Raymond was a 1974 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School. He was employed by Jamestown Metal Products from 1974-2013. He was also the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church from 1998 to December 2015.

Ray always had a smile on his face and was a mentor and example to all who knew him. He touched the lives of many during his years as a devoted Pastor. He will be remembered for his gracious and generous heart and optimistic outlook on life. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching football, telling goofy jokes and loved collecting Buffalo Bills memorabilia.

Surviving are his daughters Stephanie (Matthew) Small of Chandler, AZ, Stacey (Aaron) Billquist of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Hannah, McKenna, and Jackson Small of Chandler, AZ, and Alaina and Emily Billquist of Jamestown, his fiancé, Cheryl Abbey of Jamestown, his father Donald R. Jackson of Jamestown, his sister Wendy (Doug) Woodard of Jamestown, his brother and sister in law David (Nancy) Carlberg of Jamestown; his father and mother in law C. Gordon and Mary Carlberg of Jamestown, his nieces and nephews: Jennifer (James) Grice, Jessica (Andrew) Ambrosini, Jason Woodard, Adrienne (Jeremy) Shaw, and Christopher (Sheila) Carlberg.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathleen C. Jackson, whom he married on June 14, 1980. Also predeceased are his mother, Fern Hall Jackson, and his brothers Todd J. and Randy S. Jackson.

A Celebration of Life, Open House will be held at Busti Church of God on Saturday, November 5, from 3-5pm.
