RAYMOND LAWRENCE JARAMILLO

On February 12, 2013 at 6:54 pm, in Alaska Native Medical Center, Anchorage, Alaska, our beloved son, husband, father, grandfather and friend made his journey to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, after a long battle with cancer. He was 51 years young. Raymond Lawrence "Ray or Brother Larry Jaramillo was born on July 18, 1961 in Snow Flake, Arizona to Raymond & LaWanda Jaramillo. Larry's father died when he was 3 years old. At the age of 4, his mother moved to Vacaville to be closer to her parents, Lawrence & Ethel Runninghawk, whom Larry lived with until their death. He attended Fairmont Elementary, Willis Jepson, Will C. Wood & Country High Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Nilda Jaramillo, mother, LaWanda Martin & Rick Jaramillo of Vacaville, daughter, Serena Jaramillo, granddaughter, Victorious Burgess & grandson Raymond Jaramillo of Oakland and many friends, cousins and Brothers & Sisters in the Lord.

Brother Larry always had a smile on his face and a positive outlook on life. He never complained and wondered "why me" these last 6 years battling cancer, traveling back and forth between Alaska and a treatment center in Arizona. He Loved Jesus and knew that he was in God's Plan and Praised the Lord continually. The night before his death, was spent praising the Lord with his wife, daughter & granddaughter and he commented that he was "excited to see Jesus soon".

He drove trucks for most of his life and really enjoyed his work. His wife Nilda was from the Philippines and the owned a home their, that they spent time at, away from the long Alaska winters. He was a faithful member of Anchorage Pentecostal Tabernacle. He lived to witness about his wonderful conversion through baptism in Jesus Name and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. When Brother Larry decided to give his life to God, many people in his neighborhood came to witness it, as he was a wild & crazy guy back in the day. Folks couldn't believe that he was going to become an Apostolic Christian and he was instrumental in bringing many folks to Jesus.

Larry or Ray as his Alaska friends called him, loved to ride his Harley Davidson. His passion was to fish, not only for souls but also for salmon in the great outdoors of Alaska. His constant companion was his dog Captain Hoka "Buddy" Jaramillo. He loved his Native American Heritage, belonging to the Oglala Lakota Nation. "Tungashala Wakan Tanka" Bless You Always" & "Hau Kola Hehasnio" let me go for now". We will Dear Friend and You Will Always Be In Our Memories!

Thank you Kirk Binion
