My daddy

February 8, 2019

If you knew my father you knew he wasn't your typical man. He lived wild & free but he lived exactly how he wanted to. That is the point of life. It is yours. You choose to live & do whatever makes you happy! If you asked him, he would tell you that him and God had an understanding & I truly believe that. They say cats only have 9 lifes but Ray had 101! He was a solid man with pure intentions. If he loved you he would do anything for you. Surely he'd give you the shirt off of his back in a heartbeat. Heck he didn't really care for shirts anyways! His strength empowered even the weakest & his smile could turn your mood around almost instantly. He always had such a humble and positive attitude. His grin is how I knew he was going to start talking crap. I would look at him and ask "what are you over there thinking in that big head of yours?" Through all of his struggles he was a proud father & grandfather. All he talked about was his grandkids & how lil Lynnox would carry on the Stringer name. He always joked and told me I was the milk man's because I didn't have his last name, we all know better. He was strong...as strong as they came. I felt it in my stomach that something was wrong the day my brothers & our significant others and I searched for him. I felt this emptiness, a scared, eery feeling. In 20 years I can't tell you a day that went by that he didnt check in with David or coy! He would always say "I don't lie to my kids, but I don't let them worry about me either." And that he never did. He always kept it real with us. At a certain age I realized not to ask the questions if I wasn't prepared for the honest answers. If he was sitting next to me right now he would probably tell me to get out of my feelings to be honest!

Thank you for being you daddy , ik you were proud of your children and we will forever keep u in our hearts!

Watch over us dad!
