Ray's introduction

December 3, 2012

I am sitting in math class at Krueger Junior High when i feel a tap on my shoulder.  When I turn around a girl is passing me a note.  I open it and it is a Garfield cartoon.  In it Garfield says, "May I tell you how pretty you are?".  I blush and turn around and ask where she got the note from?  She points over to a boy with a big smile on his face.  I smile back and turn around quickly since I was pretty shy.  The bell rings and as we walk out in the hall he comes up to me and asks if I like Garfield?  I say it's the one cartoon in the newspaper that pretty much makes me laugh everytime and he says, "good because that's the one I draw the best!"  It doesn't take him long to figure out that humor is the way to my heart and I received plenty more of those cartoons for years to come.  Oh yeah, and the nickname Pookie...lol

True story. I swear. I wish I could demonstrate with my hand how that little fly would fly around as he was holding it on a leash. That boy could do anything if he put his mind to it. I was going to forward it to cruise but I don't see him on Facebook when I search for him for some reason.

In raise defense, I never saw him with another pet in Michigan city so maybe that was part of the motivation.
Weird shit you remember at weird times.
