We are saddened to announce the passing of Raymond Eugene Tryon, 81, of Brierfield, Alabama on January 13. He was a proud Navy retiree and veteran of the Vietnam War who received numerous awards and recognition for his service during his military career. He was also an ordained minister and loved using his beautiful tenor voice to praise and worship the Lord. As a motorcycle enthusiast, Raymond was a dedicated member of the Patriot Guard.

Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Mildred Tryon. He is survived by his wife, Stella, his four children, Anita Tryon Frederick, Marsha Tryon Burnett (Tim), Todd Tryon (Angela), and Tyson Tryon (Tara), his brother, Charles Tryon, and sister, Mindy Hartselle. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 3411 Spring Creek Road in Montevallo at 2:00 on January 15, and all are welcome.

Contributions in memory of Raymond Tryon can be made to his alma mater, Emmanuel College.
