           ~ Raymond “Ray” Leslie Disotell ~
Entered into this world on July 30, 1961 in Monroe, La. to William “Red” Disotell & Virginia White
He left for Heaven on February 15,2021 in Shreveport, La.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ray was a devoted husband, a gentle father, a proud PawPaw, a caring brother, an amazing uncle & a true friend, but most of all, Ray was a child of God.
He loved his Lord & Savior and his life proved that time & time again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Left to cherish the memory of Ray are:

His wife, Viki, who was, no doubt, the absolute love of  his life. They were so fortunate to have been able to spend the last 8 years of his life together and he was truly happy. They enjoyed taking cruises to places like Jamaica, the Bahamas, Belize, Honduras, Cayman Islands & all over the Caribean. He thoroughly enjoyed seeing Viki happy. They laughed together & even cried together & they just lived their best lives together. He often said that the day he met Viki was the day he learned to live again. And it showed.

His children who loved him dearly & he loved them just the same:

Brandon & wife, Maranda
Hunter & wife, Shelby
Fisher
Jennifer & fiance’, Jonathan
Justin & wife, Megan
Nicholas
Aaron & wife, Lydia

His grandchildren who were the apple of his eye:
Grayson, Kayleigh, Beaux, Leighann, Jr., Wyatt, Genesis Claire, Judah Wayne, Gabby, Bella, Carson & soon to be baby Memphis Grace

His loving sisters:
Debbie Sherman & husband, Kalvin
Cheryl Whitlock & husband, Robert
Carol Downs
Angie Young & husband, Dow
Peggy Futch
Margie Chisolm & husband, Robert

and one brother:
James Sloan & wife, Deborah

His step mother:
 Fran

Numerous nieces & nephews & great-nieces & nephews that loved their Uncle Ray  & he loved each of them so.

And so many friends that he loved so dear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He has also had many to go on before him in death and those family members are:
His mother, Virginia, who passed away when he was just 2 years old.
His mother, JuanDine, who loved him completely & raised him as her own.
His Dad, whom he loved dearly, William “Red”
A little about Ray & the man that he was:
Ray loved God, his family & his Country.
He had a heart the size of Texas and would give the shirt right off of his back. He loved hard. His goal was to see to it that others were happy and taken care of. If someone needed a hand, he was just a call away. He never met a stranger and was a true friend to all. He forgave quickly & wanted everybody to get along. He was a special man who will be missed so very badly by all who knew & loved him. He lived to serve God & see Viki happy. His happiest days were spent sharing life with her & their children &  grandchildren.  He was so proud of the life they had created together. He was so thankful to God for every blessing he received. He was faithful & he left this Earth proclaiming that he would soon see Jesus in paradise. His Faith was unshakeable & we have no doubts that he is grinning from ear to ear as he walks the streets of gold with Jesus, his mothers, his dad & so many others who were happy to see Ray. If we know Ray, he is smiling and waiting for the day we are all together again & what a day that will be. I am certain that he has already picked out a place for Viki right next to his.
*Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Saints.*
Psalms 116:15
Our family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts & prayers, the many phone calls, support & all of the love we have felt pouring in at this time of heartache and sadness.
We take comfort in the fact that we will see Ray again. We thank him for his, never changing, walk with the Lord, because of that, we have that blessed assurance that this is not good-bye, it’s just,
                   ”See you in a little while.”
I'll never forget you and Im so thankful my auntie had you.. I will miss your hugs because you never failed to give me the biggest one you possibly could❤️ I'll miss your stories and Those hugs.. A memory I hold close is when you came and picked me up from the football game- we talked about football and You never failed to tell me you loved me. I will also never forget how You always messed with me about who my favorite team was.. We'd go back and forth about that! I can hear you now, "Hey You're still my niece, ok.. even if you do like the hogs"
That was important to me because you didnt show any of us any different.. we were just all family.
