Redmond Hezekiah Taylor Jr., 78, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his home.

A native of Nash County, he was the son of the late Redmond Hezekiah Taylor and Corene Mosley Taylor. He was a member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and was employed at Morton Sherman Implement Company for over thirty years.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 6, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Grassy Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Cameron Currin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of forty one years, Patricia Boyd Taylor of the home; three daughters, Frances Taylor Hunt of Ash; Teresa Taylor Satterwhite of Henderson; Valerie Taylor of Henderson; two sons, Keith Taylor of Burgaw; Craig Wiles of Bullock; two sisters, Virginia Bowden of Albermarle; Frances Camara of Goldsboro; twenty grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Taylor and brothers, Clayton W. Taylor, Wiley Lee Taylor and James Michael Taylor.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2017 in the Fellowship Hall of Grassy Creek Baptist Church and at other times at the home.
