It is with deep sadness that we, the family and friends of David F. Reed (Reeder), announce his passing on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Baystate Medical center in Springfield. Dave was born November 23, 1958 to the late Franklin Reed and Dorothy Reed Converse and her late husband Clark Converse. Preceded in death by his two brothers Scott and Rick. He was a loving father to Lili and Cici; leaving them behind and his loving companion Sandy Sheldon and her sons Daniel and Scott and their families. Survived by his favorite uncle Chuck Thurber and first cousins Robin Raimondi, Jonathan Thurber, Holly Mulligan, Beth Thurber, Peter Thurber, Kendra McClelland and their families. Also survived by his former spouses Jennifer Urekew Reed, Eileen Francisco Reed and son Robert Francisco.

Dave went his entire life loving sports, while in school and in recent years with his work for Monson Legion Baseball with fellow coach and best friend Steve Tripp. He was adored and revered by his players and it was a huge part of his life.  Besides spending time with his girls, Dave also loved the beach, playing men’s softball, golfing with his buddies, and, his all time favorite, gardening.

A private service will be held with close family and friends. There will be a celebration of life held for Dave at Amvets, 2150 Main Street, Three Rivers on Friday, May 3, at 6pm open to all family and friends who would like to attend.

Dave wasn't just my friends dad, he was really nice and when ever I went over he made me feel like I was part of the family. The news about Dave was very shocking and upsetting, but he is not in pain any more, Rest In Peace Dave.
