I had the pleasure of meeting such a beautiful person while working on the school buses as a monitor. It's funny how life can bring you together (with a 30 year age difference) and you become friends with people. I will truly miss her beautiful smile and amazing voice singing any song but happy birthday most of all. Not to mention the "style" Ms. Regina had. Nobody could ever match her style! It was a blessing to be invited into her home (which was as beautiful as her) to look after her foster children. Continued prayers for her family and anyone that loved her! I will always cherish our time together. Rest peacefully Ms. Regina

Regina Mayme (Collins) Proffit was born on December 5, 1947 in Cincinnati Ohio and went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2023. Her Parents were Walter Collins and Anna Grace (Hamilton) Collins. She had several siblings Alona, Bianca and preceded in death by Anita, Richard, Walter, Elsie, Julia, Marcheta, Tryphena, Chandri, Stanley and Jackie.  Regina moved to New York early in life and completed her high school education in Hempstead, New York. There she met and married Earl Proffit, who happened to be from Cincinnati. From their Union they had one daughter Jonda Proffit. After their Union ended Regina returned to Cincinnati. She had several jobs in her life but retired from Ford Motor Company. After retirement she became a School Bus Monitor and loved the children so much that she became a Foster Parent of several children over the years and helped raise Kahleah and Keyshira. She loved bringing people together, cooking, creating love and happiness. She had style, class and always greeted you with a smile. She was kind generous and loved her Timmy Woods wooden purses, bold earrings, sunglasses and Red lipstick. Regina was a social butterfly and well known in the community. She was an active member of the Red Hatters and participated in her daughter's Social Enrichment for Seniors Programming. The last few years of her life were the most challenging for her due to the illnesses that affected her quality of life. She was a strong woman that persevered and has finally defeated her battle. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nyle. She leaves behind her daughter Jonda, grandsons Jalen(Ariel) and Jordan(Ivery), two great grandsons Juelz, Jyaire and great granddaughter Arii. A host of nieces, nephews and many friends that loved her dearly.

Special thanks to her sister's Bianca and Alona for their continued prayers, support and help in Regina's care. The family would like to thank W.E.
