Carol A. Reimers, 63, of West Point died June 22, 2010, at her home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Richard Bringewatt officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 Friday with family present from 5:00 until 7:00. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Carol was born December 11, 1946 in Omaha to Neil and Irene Stuckenschmidt Heyne and was baptized at First Evangelical Lutheran in Omaha on March 16, 1947. She grew up on the farm near Pender, and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran rural Bancroft, March 26, 1961. Carol attended country school and was a 1965 West Point Public High School graduate. On May 14, 1965, Carol married Jim Reimers at Zion Lutheran Church rural Bancroft. The couple spent most of their married life in West Point.

Carol was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Carol loved spending her time as a homemaker. Her joy was making others, especially her family, happy. She made each holiday special, and decorated many cakes to help celebrate different occasions. She enjoyed gardening and working on the farm and often found time to socialize over a cup of coffee. Her passion was for her husband, children and grandchildren. Carol was looking forward to the birth of another grandchild.

Survivors include her husband, James of West Point, children Michael (Michelle) Reimers of Council Bluffs, IA, Dr. Connie (James Hild) Reimers-Hild of Beaver Lake, Craig (Cary) Reimers of Omaha, Marsha (Richard) Bacon of Cook, Jade (Jennifer) Reimers of Kearney and Joshua (Antonia) Reimers of Blair, sisters Sharon (LeRoy) Albus and Mary (Ron) Neiman all of West Point, brother Warren Heyne of Boulder City Nevada, 10 special grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and father and mother-in-law Allen & Evelyn Reimers.
