This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one and friend, Erin Moomey, 11, born on September 6, 2002 and passed away on October 29, 2013. We will remember her forever.

I visited a local park in Ankeny today and was taken back with emotion when I read about Erin and the spread some sparkle initiative. I went on to read about Erin and what an amazing person she was and what an impact she's had on our community, as well as other children struggling. Thank you for sharing her story, spreading some sparkle, and providing happiness to other children.

Our soccer team was playing in a tournament called the Kohl's Cup and at that time Erin did have Leukemia and even though she was not the strongest at the time she stilled played and tried her even against girls who were bigger and older than we were. Erin will always be missed by her soccer team which is why the Prairie Trail soccer clinic in Ankeny,IA had a orange bench made just for her. Erin will be loved and missed forever! Erin has obviously earned her angel wings. She was beautiful unlike Cancer. Her smile could light up a room. Everyone should be like her!

During winter season we would build a giant snow moutain and slide down the mountain. We would also build a giant snowball and try to climb on top of it and when we failed we would laugh so hard. Then we would go in and and drink hot choclate! We would alway laugh when Erin got a chocolate mustaceh. Another memory is when it was summer and we would jump on the trampoline. We would do this contest where we would do backhandsprings and front flips. Then Erin would look at us like we were crazy and say "I can't do that!" in the funniest voice.
Erin will be forever in our hearts. She truly earned her angel wings.

I remember one day I got back, and Erin came and sai"Hi how are you where where you and" she went on and on and on. Then i was like Erin im fine. She like well okay then. Her last words to me were"Don't glue on the sparkles with out me....." and we never did. We miss her too the moon, and will never forget our sun!
