Wow!!!
How time flies!!
I can’t believe it’s already four years when we had the dreaded news of your demise.
I am persuaded that your legacy in the house of God will continue to live on; the things you initiated are still being done.
You will always hold a special place in my heart as you’re sorely missed. Your phone calls after Sunday services and the rest of the week were peculiar.❤️ ❤️❤️
I am also persuaded that you will continue to live on the the hearts of your beloved family members and your sincere friends.
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord.

To think that it's already 4 years since your passing its really hard. Time indeed heal all wounds. I will never forget how you help take care of Ife every weekend and how we argue to make up. I won't forget our fight when I lived with you and brother Judo, I understand you were trying to protect your home. You will be forever missed sister Remi. Rest on sis!

Hmm. You are in a beautiful place far better than this sinful and perishing world. There is not a day passes that something or someone doesn't remind us of you.

Continue to rest in the bosom of the ALMIGHTY. You are sorely missed.

I was shoked when I heard the news and surprised how soon we to lose a kind-hearted, loving and big-hearted individual.I remember when I was all alone and there was no where to stay.Mommy opened her home for me and another friend of mine, like her own daughters.Infact, when visitors came around, she introduced us as her daughters. The world has lost an angel because she was an angel to me personally and countless others. You will truly be missed,Mommy.Apparently,no one can take your place in our hearts and forever we will remember you for your kind, loving and warm attitudes!

*
"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.
In Memory of a life so beautifully lived...a heart so deeply loved*

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
The strife is o’er, the battle done;
The victory of life is won;
The song of triumph has begun:
Hallelujah!

Com. Mrs Remi Akande, a gallant soldier of Christ. You were bold, strong, kind and courageous to the very end, a lover of every good thing, you were a mother and strong pillar to myriads, both young and old. Your works do already speak for you and will continue to speak. The news of your passing on was like a bad dream from which one would wake up and it was only a dream. We however bless the Spirit of God by whom you fought a good fight and you prevailed. Mummy Seun, we are already missing you. It is tough to come to terms with this. We are comforted by wonderful memories of your unfeigned love and steadfastness. How could we possibly forget the wonderful times we had together in the choir, your dedication to the things of the Spirit which you did till the very end, even on your sick bed. We, the choir of Jerusalem Church of the Lord Int., Lanham USA, love you but God loves you most; we take solace in the fact that you are resting in God’s bosom till we meet to part no more.

On behalf of JCLI Lanham, USA Choir.

You welcomed me to your home in 2002, though we had our differences yet you still was as nice as you could be. You were what the bible quote as a virtuous woman, Now i can attest to it that you were doing all you could to protect your family. No wonder we hear an echo of proverbs 31:28 "Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also praises her; There are so many things that we don’t know on this side of the veil. We are finite creatures, tied to space and time, captured to a little speck of human history and experience. God is infinite, He is eternal, He sees the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning. He knows all things that can be known. He sees the big picture. That which we can’t possibly know or see. We are going to miss you Mrs Remi Akande, but in the midst of our grief, we also know that you have gone to be with our Lord. Also remember this: The same God who took mrs Akande to Heaven last Saturday night is here today to help us in our time of sorrow. Adieu!!

SLEEP ON SAINT TRIUMPHANT
My Mamayard (as l fondly called you),
It was a rude shock that fateful Saturday morning to wake up to the call of your passing on to glory, barely hours after l saw you on the hospital bed.
Who would have thought that l was seeing you for the last time?
I knew you for just two years but the warmth you radiated to all and sundry made me feel so right at home that we might have met twenty years ago!!
Coincidentally before you took ill, l ran into you back to back within the neighbourhood, outside the church premises, first at Wegmans and then at JC Penney and in your genuine camaraderie you made me feel so special; you exhibited so much delight at seeing me. We chatted for a while and of course in your usual self, your Father's work was upper most in your heart. You requested that l should get involved in the women's prayer meets online every Tuesday and that you would appreciate my contributions. I agreed, not knowing that it was not to be as you have already finished your race and on your way to join the saints TRIUMPHANT!!
I miss your phone calls.
I miss your warmth.
You are sorely missed.
Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord till we meet to part no more.

PRECIOUS IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD IS THE DEATH OF HIS SAINTS.

You welcomed me in your home with open arms in 2007 without knowing anything about me. You were my friend and advisor. I always referred you as my "mother in America". You've always loved me and celebrated my success. We shared the same passion for the success of Jerusalem Church of the Lord International, Lanham. We had great plans for the church in the beginning of the year. Its sad that you wont be around to witness the achievement of those goals. You will be missed, Mummy Seun.

Missing You

March 10, 2021
Today is a very sad day! I only found out today my dear friend has passed. We worked together for years in DC, kept in touch over the years through phone calls and text, the last time we spoke was in late 2018, we were to have lunch. I pray for healing for all the family.

Rest in Paradise my friend!

Iya Yard

March 7, 2019

Iya yard, as we fondly call u, it’s difficult to understand this very disturbing news but who are we to question God

You were one of the most humble, loving n caring people l know. Your quest to be on d right standing with everyone was a trait worthy of emulating. If u don’t see us in church u are on d fone even before you get home. I remember your last visit to my office just to come n apologize for one of ur kids stepping out of line, of cos ubrought the offender with u. You cared n showed it! I could go on but am really short of words. Ahhhh! I will miss that constant smile and hugs. Everytime u say ‘emi ati yin ti d’kan’ ( u and l have become one) Never thot that relationship will come to an abrupt end like this. But indeed God knows best

Rest on my dear sister

May you find peace and joy with your maker
