Renard was raised and born in Kansas, city Missouri. He was a straight A student. He was on the track team. He had his own band during High School. He graduated from Central High in Kansas city, Missouri. He Moved to Las Vegas in 1970. He went to UNLV and played football. He worked for CCSD as a Special Educaion Teacher and for the Las Vegas Animal Shelter.

Renard was a fabulous singer, which he found out by accident. He had his own band, his niece Stephanie Lawson sang with them. He opend up for Diana Ross, B.B King and many more.

Renard has 7 children and they all inherited his singing talent.
