I remember Mr. Marbury taking us kids to school in his family's green station wagon or his white truck when I was younger. We heard many stories of his younger years and gospel music on our way to school. He was the first adult man to show me he loved the Lord. My condolences to Mrs. Marbury, Perry, Allison, and Angie. Your dad was a great man and he will be missed.

A True Legend

March 26
I am just finding out about Mr. Marbury's death.  I was Mr. Marbury's Tax preparer and financial advisor for 20 plus years. I remember He walked in to my office with a paper bag full of receipts and paperwork seeking a new tax preparer. My colleagues were terrified because of the large bag.  He sat at my desk and we connected and I was his "tax lady" from then on. Eventually left my job and started my own business. Mr Marbury was very supportive and he told me he knew I would leave.  He was proud of me for becoming a entrepreneur. He told me that he was seeking someone to do his taxes that day and he found me, and I would be his preparer for the rest of his life. He often shared his negro baseball stories and once spoke at my son"s school for Black History Month.  He educated me a lot on history and culture. I am so  grateful for his support and for being a long-time client.  He will truly be missed!!!
