Renee Palensky, age 18 years, of Linwood, was killed in a one-vehicle accident June 18 near Dwight.

Renee was born Dec. 1, 1988, in Schuyler, to Leonard T. "Tom” Palensky, Jr. and Loretta (Vrana) Palensky. She attended school in Prague where she was very active.

She is survived by her parents, Leonard T. "Tom” Jr. and Loretta Palensky of Linwood; her three sisters, Rachel (Eric) Johnson of David City, Christina (Kasey) Kadavy of Prague and Carla Palensky of Linwood; her five brothers, Leonard Palensky III of David City, Christopher (girlfriend Lindsey Styskal) Palensky of Columbus, William Palensky of Prague and Nathan and Anthony Palensky of David City. Also surviving are grandparents, Leonard and Goldie Palensky of David City; many aunts and uncles; nieces, Emily, Isabella and Brooklyn; and nephew, Brayden.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Margaret Vrana; uncle, William Vrana; and boyfriend, Tad DeWispelare.
