I've only known Soror Renee since 2015, but she left a lasting impression on me. She always had a smile and a kind word whenever we met. I will remember the stylish way she dressed, but also the way she worked so hard for Alpha Kappa Alpha. She will truly be missed. I pray that her family and close friends find comfort and peace of mind during this time of bereavement.

I truly love and miss Soror Renee. I probably would not be a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha if she had not believed in me and invited me into this amazing sorority. She will be in my heart and thoughts forever. Shine on Silver Star, shine on.

Soror Renee, My Sister Shopping Soror!!! I always loved shopping with you at Oakbrook and picking shoes & dresses in Lord & Taylor. I always liked talking to you on the phone and laughing so much my stomach would hurt and trying to hide under my desk at work. Your words always meant so much to me the serious and funny ones alike. I will train my mind not to look for you at Chapter meeting; your smile will live in my heart. I miss you & love you always!!! Soror Cynthia H

My heart is heavy as I reflect on the many conversations and interactions we shared. You were That Soror who would unexpectedly give another Soror something that they were admiring of yours...and without hesitation. Your smile Made me smile. Your presence brightened the room. You, My Dear Silver Soror, and your kindness will never be forgotten.

I’ve gone through countless emotions the last 5 days. Replayed all our conversations. The time we spent together. This morning I woke up grateful for your presence in my life. You were my teacher and my friend. Our lives will never be the same, they will be better because of your legacy. I love you. Rest well.

My very last words I texted you were, "Love you lots!!" and I'm still in disbelief that your natural presence has ascended to He who knows best. However, my heart is full of joy knowing you will forever dwell in peace. I will miss the many days you would call me "daughter" or "Lil Renee" and talk to me about what we thoroughly enjoyed...fashion and shopping. In such a short while knowing you, it seemed like a lifetime; an organic connection that I shall carry with me always. It started off as "Ms. Renee" then "Mom" and the latter is what you will always be to me. I will continue to work diligently in all endeavors and make you so exceptionally proud. The essence of your existence will forever be cherished and the love you so graciously and effortlessly exuded to all you encountered will remain close to our heart. It is well Mom, it is well with my soul. Love you lots!!

To Our Beloved Supreme Silver Renee, You were a true woman of beauty, style, grace and elegance. Whether we met you in 1994, when we were initiated or when we reactivated or transferred into Xi Nu Omega Chapter, you embraced us into this sisterhood of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., that we all so dearly love. Your love & guidance was so impactful. The bond of sisterhood is strengthened even more as Sorors become Silver Stars and Life Members. You joked, talked and planned with many of us about reaching this milestone. Even during your illness, you thought of others as we were told you have gifts for all of the new Silver Stars. We looked forward to sharing this experience with you and making you proud. We will continue your legacy and continue to be a service to all mankind as we know you will be watching. “Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death” Isaiah 57:2 Rest peacefully Pretty Girl Much Love, Xi Nu Omega Chapter 2019 Silver Stars

You are forever in our hearts, and you are now a beloved Ivy Beyond the Wall. #DO4LIFE
