CLEANING THE TOILET(REST ROOM)

May 27, 2021
Papa took the toilet brush, the disinfectant, some rags and wore a long orange glove.  He asked me, "Cathy, do you want to see how you can make the toilet space your space? I answered yes of course Curiously following him. While he whistled some tune, he first scrubbed the inner bowl, flushed it. Then went on to clean around. Saying you've got to clean right behind and where the eyes don't see 'cos that's where the germs love to hide. He then cleaned the mirrow, sink and mopped the floor. Changed the hand towel. While doing this, Papa said, "Cathy, that's how our life is...you need to clean the spots no one sees by constant confession to God or you will become infested with the germ of sin. Do all as serving God and not man." The rest room (toilet) has since been my best spot to commune with God. Happy birthday Papa. Funny how I value you more now...Don't you laugh

Remembering the Dad of encouragement

June 18, 2020
I remember papa, how you taught me to be responsible in my chores at home. Teaching me how to clean the toilet. You made it so much fun and made me realize how comfy it felt using it afterwards. The treats you gave for job well done. The compliments you gave and the encouragement made me want to do more. I have carried that principle through life. You were a great dad and a teacher who pull out the best in the most stubborn...especially me. Thank you for loving me despite all I did to make you tire of parenting. Love you always. KataBokun
