TRIBUTE TO OUR DADDY - REV’D DR ADELOKOJI OKEJIMI IJAOLA
As much as it is extremely difficult to come to terms with the fact that you are no more with us, we cannot, but reminiscent of your well lived life and what you stood for while alive.
Daddy Ijaola, you were:
• an exemplary Christian and true child of God till you breathed your last breath
• a man of integrity, a visionary leader and of many positive impacts
• a lover of Mission together with Mummy (the wife) through BLEM International Ministry and a giver to the core, our family have benefited a lot from your kind gesture.
• a mentor to those who were ready to learn. As members of Young Minister’s Forum WhatsApp group are already missing you.
• man of full of ideas and innovations
Daddy, we least expect that you will leave now but who are we to question God. He knows better and it pleases Him to take you home to be with Him. That we will miss you is an understatement, Sleep on in the bosom of your Master whom you served with all your might and resources.
Our consolation is that you died at your duty post and did not deny your faith in Christ Jesus your maker and caller. You came, you saw, you conquered and meet your Lord. “Let me die the death of the righteous…” Numbers 23:10b.
Our prayer is that the Lord will uphold those you left behind, most especially, Mummy, Oyinkansola and Ayomide. Amen.
Finally, we believe that for you our Daddy, REV’D DR ADELOKOJI OKEJIMI IJAOLA, the words of John Donne (father of metaphysical poet and cleric of the Church of England) has now come to pass: “I shall rise from the dead… I shall see the Son of God, the sun of Glory and shine myself as the Sun Shines. I shall be united to the Ancient of days, to God Himself, who had no morning, never began… No man ever saw God and lived. And yet, I shall not live till I see God; and when I have seen Him, I shall never die.” Adieu!
