Reverend Ernest Robert Webb, 76, of  248 Harvey Bowen Lane Bolton, NC entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Columbus Regional Medical Center Whiteville, NC.  Funeral services will be 1:00p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Evergreen African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, Delco, NC. Visitations will be Thursday, 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Hawes Funeral Home Chapel Warsaw, NC and Friday, 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Evergreen AME Zion Church, Delco, NC.

Rev. Ernest R. Webb pastored many AME Zion churches in the southern NC region.  These churches include: Big Zion - Kenansville, Shaw Temple - Charity, St. James - Magnolia, Payne Temple - Mt. Olive, Walter's Chapel - Bolton, Summerville - Leland, Brown's Chapel - Southport, Mt. Zion - Lake Waccamaw, Christian Plain - Clarkton, Graham's Chapel - East Arcadia, Baker's Creek - Dublin, and St. Peter's - White Lake.  Rev. Webb was loved by many especially the children who he often gave candy during Sunday school and church.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Beulah Stanford Webb; six children, Ernest G. Webb(Lisa), Pullard I. Webb(LaSandra), Wilhemina Gilmore(Marcus), Phyllis Daniels(Kenneth), Samantha Pryor(Dennis) and Dolly Griffen(Wayne); nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
