"Omalor" was what we fondly remember Rev. Mark B. Nsor for in University of Calabar Teaching Hospital because of quantum persons his secure employment for.
The Olulumo People in their characteristics and fraternity called each other OMALOR wherever and whenever they meet, this Word became popularly used by non indigenes of Olulumo Nation. Omalor is the legacy Rev. Mark B. Nsor bequeathed in UCTH.
May his soul continue to find solace in Jesus Christ name.

A rare breed of the stock of Olulumo nation. Rev. Bassey Nsor gave his all and best for our people. He stood to be counted at the most auspicious time in the lives of so many of our people who needed to be gainfully employed.

After touching so many lives, this amiable son of Olulumo Eburutu remained scandalously humble and graceful in his humanity. Truly, he was possessed of the deepest sense of altruism. Rev. Nsor was so accomplished yet so gregarious and approachable.

Because Rev. Bassey Nsor left such a rich and impressive legacy of sterling character, because he touched so many of our people and inspired us with his life of service, because he upheld prodigious moral, spiritual, and ethical standards in his dealings with all and sundry, because he loved God and served Him, he will most certainly never die! He will forever live in our hearts.

May His kind soul continue to rest in perfect peace.

We were very young then, when we heard people talking about massive employment our people enjoyed in The University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, influenced by Daddy. That singular gesture has positively transformed lives, with a multiplier effect. It is true that existence does not end in the grave. Therefore, Dad still lives on especially in our memories. Adieu, Daddy Reverend.

TRIBUTE TO MY FATHER AND FRIEND
Dear Dad,
I am greatly pained writing this tribute to you, is like Isaac writing a tribute to his father, Abraham or Timothy attempting a tribute to Apostle Paul. I am however, compelled by filial obligation to attempt this.
How can I ever forget you Dad! It is now over three months and yet it seems like yesterday. I still call your line most times maybe I tend to forget that you are gone or I am just hoping it is some crazy dream. So many plans we had, so many things we planned together for 2020. Forgive me especially because I was not by your side when you passed but my joy is that we spoke few minutes before your demise.
I constantly find solace that your selfless service to humanity and especially to your community in empowering them is incontestable; people are always enthused by your love towards them. I have no fears Dad, because I know that you are always with me and my siblings and the multitude that loved you and called you Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend etc. I pray to God to enable me protect the good name and image you left behind. This is greater to me than all the riches in the world.
I can never fill your shoes but I will continue to strive to be a good son, I may not have made you the proudest father but you have made me the proudest son. Your struggle to stay alive all through your illness is a clear indicator that it was not you desire to leave us but God needed you most.
Sleep well Dad!
Your Son,
Sam Nsor

My Dearest Father,

Your life was a story of trials and triumph. From the little boy born in the farm plantation of Okuni to your time in the Midwestern State of Ogwashuku and then to the backstreets of Port Harcourt, you burnt the midnight candle in the true sense of the word and toiled your path to an education and a future.

You talked often of your restlessness as a child and the lack that marked your early years. You spoke of the first time you owned a pair of shoes. And of the time in December of 1958, when your grandmother made you kneel while she put her hand on your shoulders, weeping and crying to God to help her stubborn grandson. It worked, as you wrote in your memoir. Yes, "it did"! You became the Christian soldier, marching forever onward. Your was indeed a story of trials and triumph.

You had many children Daddy and you never stopped praying for us all; you wanted us to preserve, to dream, to become somebody.
you called me "Mummy". You always believed in me. You told me i could do anything. the day i got into the University of Oxford, i called to tell you and you cried with joy...., my daddy with the white smile and kind word. My daddy, if the bible was still being written the story of your faith would be told in its sacred pages. Yours is a story of trials and triumph.

You were the good seed, growing in the midst of thorns, but growing because the good Lord had planted you! You were like light, set up upon a hill! You were like salt; never losing your favour! Through the turbulence of life the fire of your faith was as tall as your spirit. Not once did you falter. You spoke of faith and God like a giant. And giant you were. the trails of life never dimmed your spirit, never shortened you. You behaved in death as you did in life, with Jesus in your mouth.

I carry that fire in my belly daddy! The fire of God's love, the passion for Christ and love that is unquenchable. I carry that light deep in my stomach and i promise you Daddy, that by the grace of God our father, I will carry that fire forward, forever.

And now you move on to receive your crown! You have fought the good fight Papa! You have stayed the course.

Your Daughter
