Beautiful obituary, Tasha. Your Dad was quite the man.  Literature and science, peace corp and softball. Every phase of his life seems special. So special. You were lucky to have him, and he was lucky to have you.  I see your smile in him, in your Mom and Meredith too. I’m so, so sorry for your loss.  Peace to you and your Mom and to the Afghan people too.  Maureen

I am sorry to hear of Rick's passing. We worked together at Conrail and he was a kind man and always had a smile on his face.

My condolences to his family.

May he rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of Mr. Huffman’s passing and my heart goes out to Tasha and Mrs. Huffman. I’ll remember him fondly as a warm presence in our Worthington rd. neighborhood and a doting father to Meredith and Tasha, and grandfather to all their children.

I learned so much about Rick by reading tribute above - I had no idea he was in the Peace Corps and it now makes so much sense about why he was so calm and reassuring during what could be crazy times at Conrail! Although I did not know him well, he always was upbeat and positive and I wish his family well.

I knew Rick from the time I was a very young child. He was gracious, loving, and doted on me the way an uncle would. His tall stature, booming voice; he was full of laughter and light. I fondly remember a day he was taking my grandmother and I to visit her friends. I got carsick on the way and was extremely upset with myself, crying, etc. We stopped back at his beautiful home, Rick cleaned up the mess without complaint and put me in one of his t-shirts (it came down past my knees). He made sure to get Ursula to give me lots of puppy kisses to get me to smile again. Though it has been many years since I have seen Rick, I remember that day, often, and fondly. May he rest peacefully and know that he was loved so fiercely by his family and friends.

Rick was a pleasure to work with. He would often be kidded about "Inhuman Resources".
